How do I get an e-team started?
Here are the basics:

Step One
Make a commitment to God, yourself, and to an accountability partner that you will share the gospel and give an invitation at every meeting. Why? Because the e-team strategy depends on you making this commitment. The e-team and the students need to have the confidence and assurance that anytime they bring friends, they are going to hear the gospel. Besides that, you don't know when unsaved visitors are coming, or if everyone in your youth group has trusted Christ. When you commit to giving the gospel with at invitation at every meeting, the e-team and the students understand how important evangelism is to you, and that will give them confidence and motivation in the area of inviting their friends.
Step Two
Pray for wisdom and then choose at least nine students who you feel could effectively fill the roles. They need to be teenagers who are excited about reaching people for Christ and who want to make a difference. They may or may not be the ones in your group who have all the natural leadership skills - you might be surprised who God brings your way!
Step Three
Meet with the e-team and share your commitment to give the gospel at every meeting. Then explain the roles of each member, and the Prayer · Dare · Share strategy. Share your commitment to share the gospel at every meeting.
Step Four
Introduce the e-team to the youth group and explain the game plan. Have the leader of the e-team train everyone in the 2.6.2 method and 'dare' them to invite 4 friends in 4 weeks. Have the students write down the names of the friends, then spend the rest of the time in small groups praying for their friends.
Step Five
Have the prayer warrior record and catalogue the names of the friends, and have the webcaster register the e-team with Dare2Share.
Step Six
Plan the kickoff meeting for the Prayer-Dare-Share strategy, make sure that all the e-team members know what they are doing, and make sure they are doing it. Remember that since you could have visitors at any and all meetings, then quality needs to be job one. Quality games, lessons, atmosphere, everything. Students are too busy to keep coming back to something that strikes them as "lame".

What happens next?
Now that you’ve launched your e-team, here’s a few ideas to keep the ball rolling:
Week One
Have the greeting team in place
Do something fun and quality
Teach something relevant and Biblical
Take two minutes to give the gospel and an opportunity to respond afterwards
Make sure that every student who invited someone follows up afterwards (i.e.- did what my youth leader say about going to heaven make sense?)
Meet with the e-team later to evaluate success
Have the webcaster send a report and get new ideas
Have the greeting team follow up with visitors and new believers
Week Two
Have the leader give a report in Sunday School (or similar meeting)
Have the prayer warrior collect prayer requests and challenge the students to keep praying for their friends
Go over action item list from week one
Weeks Three-Five
Same as week two
Afterward
Evaluate the success
Determine to keep it going
Identify and recruit other students to join the e-team
Continue to use the Prayer · Dare · Share strategy and/or other e-team strategies
Encourage the e-team to travel and train at other ministries
