What is the Arkansas Open? It is a marching contest where all of the best marching bands in Arkansas gather to compete. It is usually held in November toward the end of the season for most high schools. It has been going on since 1996 when Brady Massey decided take over the "War Memorial Contest" and "fix" it. Of the two contests worth going to in the state of arkansas (the open and the siloam springs contest) the Arkansas Open is truely home to the best bands in the state. |
