Marty Foster

May 4, 2004 in Seattle Marty Foster was the home plate ump. The strike zone was not that great the entire night.

In the 9th inning, with Every day Eddie Guradado on the mound Torii Hunter hits a double scoring Guzman to tie the game up at 3-3. Koskie comes around trying to score, and slides his hand across home, replays show he was safe, clearly. Yet Foster calls him out, to extra innings we go. Koskie threw down his helmet at the call and was ejected.

In the bottom on the 16th Spiezio grounded into a a fielders choice and Winn tried to score, on nearly the exact same play at the plate as Koskies play Winn is called safe, M's win. Replays showed, and even without the replay you could see that Winn was out, the tag was there before he swiped home plate.

Foster not only helped the M's win the game, he helped himself onto the Umpire Blacklist.
