The Amazing Race is where 11 teams of 2 race around the world for a cash prize of $1,000,000. All groups start out at the same time and collect route markers and have detours. There is a road block that which one person of the group has to complete, they have to decide who will complete it before knowing what it is.
The last team to arrive at a check point is eliminated. There are however 4 pre determined non-elimination legs.
The sixth season of The Amazing Race is set to premiere with a two hour episode on Tuesday, November 16 at 8:00 PM CST.
The Amazing Race won over Survivor and American Idol in the category of Best Reality Competition in the 2003 Primetime Emmy Awards. And now is the winner for the 2004 Primetime Emmy Awards, also beating both The Apprentice and Last Comic Standing.
