Clothes
Look at her lovely ensemble
This outfit is all about being obscenely bright and simultaneously way too big and way too tight. The hair also screams 90's. The side ponytail (with scrunchie) was a serious epidemic.
The pierced ear
Stick-on earrings
Some parents didn't let their children get piercing and this is what happened. Some genius decided to allow children to cover themselves with glue just to attempt (and pathetically fail) to attain the beauty staple of pierced ears. What a rip-off!
The stuffed animal/backpack
What's cuddly and fun to sleep with? Well, now it can hang off your back wherever you go. And just like you've always wanted, you can now sleep with your homework without worrying about damaged pages or embarrasing drool stains.
Baby watermelon dress
Look at this masterpiece. A watermelon collar. The oversized seed embellishments. I feel bad for the mannequin.
Doc Martens
These boots were meant for walkin', and that's just what they'll do. One of these days these boots are gone walk all over you. I clearly remember leaving scars on the shins on a certain male friend with boots like these (this would be about the same time Sadistic got added to Sad's name). These boots were all about being chunky, ugly and military. And the rippled soles were great for prying up skin.
Chunky headbands
These oversized headbands were all the rage in the early 90s. This headband in particular was velvet. Mini Fro models this headband for your enjoyment.
This graphic serves a dual pupose. It showcases no only the lovely tapered/spandex pants. They're oh so sexy, especially on people who are fantastically fat (NOT pleasantly plump). But the Keds in this picture are also important. Anyone else remember the Keds? They were great!
To the left, there are the majestic stirrup pants. Along the lines of the spandex pant, but there's the added bonus that you look like a bad cowboy.

Although blue in the tube, this lipstick is in fact fushia pink
Now, as if the idea of hot pink lips was not enough to traumatize you, the lipstick had to come in a disgusting shade of blue. So I share this hideous blend of horror with you in hopes it will soften the fright still echoing through my memories.
The mini back pack
The mini backpack was a purse, but not a purse. It had tons of pockets and held all the things that you couoldn't possibly need. Then again with cell phones the sizes they were, maybe a bag this large was necessary.
The faux tattoo necklace
Again Mini Fro models some of the trendy little gems of the 90s. This necklace, from her own collection, was supposed to look like a tattoo but those little shiny beads kind of detract from that idea don't they?
The platform
And so these pieces of the seventies return twenty years later with a new look. No more fish in the heels, just good old, clunky American fun. I must admit for those of us who are vertically challenged this trend was a perfect fit.
Imagine going to prom in this...
To go along with the platforms, you could dance the night away in this elegant two tiered evening gown with rushing detail and an elegant fabric flower on the hip. I just want to say; I am so glad I am too young to have worn that.
The Puffy Coat
Unfortunately, I still own one of these marshmallow-esque monstrosities. It was so warm and cozy, but at the say time you looked like the Michelin man.
The Tear-away pant
I still see people wear these pants and I shudder each time. Do you not realize or more importantly did the designer not realize the snaps would gap when you sat down? That's a lot of leg, let me tell you. But the pantsing is certainly easier with tear-aways (hence, the name, duh).

Clothing looked awful even on famous people!
It wasn't just me and Eppi and other inconsequential people who looked like we dressed in the dark during the 90's. Actors dressed badly too. So, you may ask why this poster isn't on the actual movies page, and my reply would be: because Buffy's on the TV page and I thought the clothing was more significant than the film could ever be.
