Faith is the evidence of things unseen.

It has been said that one should never enter a discussion on either politics or religion. Good enough. Therefore I will let God do the talking through His word, keeping my comments to a minimum.

Without faith, there is no hope. Without hope, there is no purpose. Permit me to share my faith in the Amazing Grace of my Lord Jesus Christ.

Admit your guilt and helplessness...
As the Scriptures say, "No one is good - no one in all the world is innocent." As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;" As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one;" Romans 3:10
Yes, all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious ideal. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
When Adam sinned, sin entered the entire human race. His sin spread death throughout all the world, so everything began to grow old and die, for all sinned. Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned - Romans 5:12
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
God tolerated man's past ignorance about these things, but now he commands everyone to put away idols and worship only him. In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, Acts 17:30
Believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior...
For it is by believing in his heart that a man becomes right with God; and with his mouth he tells others of his faith, confirming his salvation. For the Scriptures tell us that no one who believes in Christ will ever be disappointed. Jew and Gentile are the same in ths respect: they all have the same Lord who generously gives his riches to all those who ask him for them. Anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile - the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved". Romans 10:9-13
Look! I have been standing at the door and I am constantly knocking. If anyone hears me calling him and opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him and he with me. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:20
All who believe this know in their hearts that it is true. If anyone doesn't believe this, he is actually calling God a liar, because he doesn't believe what God has said about his Son. And what is it that God has said? That he has given us eternal life, and that this life is in his Son. So whoever has God's Son has life; whoever does not have his Son, does not have life. Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5:10-12
Confess your sins...
There was a time when I wouldn't admit what a sinner I was. But my dishonesty made me miserable and filled my days with frustration.

until I finally admitted all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide them. I said to myself, "I will confess them to the Lord." And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.

When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord" - and you forgave the guilt of my sin.

When I kept silent, my bones grew old through my groaning all the day long.

I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord," And You forgave the iniquity of my sin.

Psalm 32:3,5
A man who refuses to admit his mistakes can never be successful. But if he confesses and forsakes them, he gets another chance. He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Proverbs 28:13
But if we confess our sins to him, he can be depended on to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
So there is now no condemnation awaiting those who belong to Christ Jesus. For the power of the life-giving Spirit - and this power is mine through Christ Jesus - has freed me from the vicious circle of sin and death. Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1
He has not punished us as we deserve for all our sins,

He has removed our sins as far away from us as the east is from the west.

he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.

as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities.

As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Psalm 103: 10,12
When someone becomes a Christian he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same any more. A new life has begun! Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Demonstrate your faith by your lifestyle.
And remember, it is a message to obey, not just to listen to. So don't fool yourselves. Do not merely listen to the word, and so decieve yourselves. Do what it says. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22
My little children, I am telling you this so that you will stay away from sin. But if you sin, there is someone to plead for you before the Father. His name is Jesus Christ, the one who is all that is good and who pleases God completely.

And how can we be sure that we belong to him? By looking within ourselves: are we really trying to do what he wants us to? Someone may say, "I am a Christian; I am on my way to heaven; I belong to Christ." But if he doesn't do what Christ tells him to, he is a liar. But those who do what Christ tells them to will learn to love God more and more. That is the way to know whether or not you are a Christian. Anyone who says he is a Christian should live as Christ did.

My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense - Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.

We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
