Ah...memories. I remember when...

That old car in the picture seemed pretty new. Come to think of it, the kids seemed pretty new too. (Mom and Dad seemed ancient.)

A party line was concidered the information highway. Of course we always knew when the call was for us by the rhythm of the rings; 2 longs and a short.

A 4 function calculator was about the size of a paper-backed novel and cost over $100, but who needed one? Any self respecting physics student could do the math faster with his trusty Pickett slide rule.

A quarter could buy 3 rides and a popcicle at the county fair (provided I could sneek through the gate).

Both the bread man and the milk man delivered the goods right to our door.

Old man Byuchik still farmed with 2 work horses and a wagon.

When the TV repair man would come to the house with his giant box of tubes, just so that we could watch 2 channels. Isn't that old Philco a beauty? The kids aren't so bad either. But that Christmas tree...

Time for this week's challanging trivia question:
Who sang Isn't it Romantic to whom in what musical?

Thus far, we've received the following answers:

- Gene Kelly to Debbie Renyolds in Singing in the Rain

- Fred Astaire to Ginger Rogers in Swing Time

- Bing Crosby to someone in some musical

- Tune written by Richard Rogers in 1932 and sung by Maurice Chevalier in Love Me Tonight (1948).
(We like this answer because it has the air of authority.)

Want to take a stab at it? E-mail us your guess and we'll add it to the list. (We don't know the answer, so someone please enlighten us!)

Feeling too old (or too young)?

Ah, how I long for the Good Vibrations of yesteryear.
