june 29, 2004: i have become nocturnal

welcome to v.e.r.d.a.n.t. paradise

As always, I'd like to remind you all about the Archives, which is where I put all of the old posts/comments. And if this website would let me put up my Germany pictures *STAB*, I would. I'm going to try this new website I've heard about where I can store pictures. Maybe that will work? Yes. It will. I'LL FORCE IT TO! (lol colleen)

Anywho...I'm thinking of having my T-Shirt making thing for S/B soon. I'd invite you...but YOU'RE NOT IN SCHOLASTIC BOWL! Not to mention those ditchers *cough* *cough* Thank you, Ashley, for staying, and knowing who King Richard the Lion-Hearted was. And for calling Ross an idiot. Mwahahaha. It will be fun. I mean, my room is actually clean for once! Yay!

Lalala. Oh yes, so babysitting is going actually quite well. Last week I made $155. And $45 in lesson money...so $200! Yay! My parents opened a checking account for me, but they still haven't given me my checkbook yet. Bah. Some interesting things I hear when babysitting:

Jack-"It's half shark and half fish!!" Me-"Jack...a shark IS a fish."

Maggie-"I want to make a lemonade stand!" Me-"Sure, maybe we can sell bracelets or have free makeovers too..." Maggie-"Yeah!! Free makeovers for 25 cents!" Me-"How is it free then?"

Oh, those crazy children. Demon childs, I mean. Poor Quinton. He has to endure being called such names as "Buttkin" and "Stupid". At least Sammy likes him. Sammy is such a nice doggy until she starts whipping me with her tail or getting me all wet with her doggy smell.

I've been having all of these school-related dreams lately. It's pretty weird since I can see myself in the classroom with only like 4 other people with the teacher. Yet, I haven't been in the room yet, I don't know what my teacher looks like, and not to mention that fact that the room looks like a Victorian house with curtains and stuff. And then, sometimes I have these other dreams where I go on these huge quests and I go on dreaming for like 10 years and the good guys save the world. Usually, unless they're in the middle of a fight and then I wake up and I never find out who wins. It makes me mad that I usually forget all of the details as soon as I wake up, and all that I'm left with is just the imprint/memory of having the dream.

Have you ever seen the old TV show "Sabrina the Teenage Witch"? Well, when I was littler, like 9 or 10, it used to be one of my all-time favorite shows. The reason I'm bringing this up is because sometimes I wish that with a point of my finger and a swirly sparkle of magic, I could make things go my way so much easier. Sometimes, I would imagine myself pointing my finger and having my room clean itself, or changing the clothes I had on into something really spectacular. Stuff like that. I wish that magic was real. Well, there is magic in all of us and in the world, but I wish that there was the deeper kind of magic that I'm always reading about in all of my fantasy books where there isn't any ugly pollution or horribly self-absorbed people. It would just be me and a group of talented/lovable people out to do good and explore all around...It's hard to explain. Grrr.

Question: (will later become poll when I'm not so lazy) Which do you like the best? State your name and pick only 1, unless you choose other...

Harry Potter

Lord of the Rings

Hitchhiker's Guide

The Simpsons

Anime (any kind)

Other (comments, misc)

This could be interesting. What sayest thee?

june 20, 2004: happy father's day!

welcome to v.e.r.d.a.n.t. paradise

All old comments will be posted under the Archives section, so if you missed a few days of updating, you can see what I posted up. I'd also like to remind you all again to maximize each and every page you visit in order to view its full potential. Don't underachieve - overachieve!

Let's see...updates...I'm still working on the site links. They are links to pages that I've made, not to other websites out there on the Web, like a certain someone thought. Cough. Q. Cough. So far, I've 'finished' the first seven links and the last (miscellaneous).

Yes, so to fathers everywhere, I wish you a good 24 hours. Well, maybe more like about 10 1/2 hours since it's about 1:30 now. I thank my good friend Quinton for pointing out mistakes, such as missing pages, Capitalization and how the word "binoculars" is plural. He's on his way to getting a silver trophy!

I'm still thinking of making that Germany pictures site. I have many pretty pretty pictures that the amazing Tony Prisco took. Ashley caught a glimpse of them in English...I'll probably end up having a separate website for them all since altogether, the pictures take up about 1 gig of space...ahh! At the website, I'll just pick the ones I like the best and leave them for you to look at and download ^_^

a picture of the italians we met in salzburg:Hopefully, your browser will adjust and if it doesn't (meaning, the picture is way too big and you can't minimize it), just tell me and I'll make it smaller for you. Anyways, about the Italians: We met them in Salzburg late at night right after the chaperones took us to see what Mozart's birthplace (Salzburg) looked like in the dark. It was a long walk/hike up, but it was amazing up there. The city lights blazed and there were great vantage points. When we were done taking pictures and all, we kids went back down and the grownups stayed. While we were down in the city, window shopping and admiring the goods, a bunch of Italian guys saw us and swooped down. How could we tell they were Italians? Hmmm, lemme think. For one, they had thick Italian-accented English when they tried talking to us. Next, they introduced themselves, and one of them was a DJ from Venice. Also, they kept on waving their arms over their heads and hugging each other and overall being very physical. However, some were smoking and they wanted us to go drink with them. Misty, Dan, Elizabeth, and I think someone else left since they didn't like it, so I was the only "freshie" left. I was just curious, although a little scared. I was talking with Marie, Sarah and Laurel and they agreed that if it came down to them wanting us to go to a pub or some bar, we would leave immediately, but until then, we'd just stay. Tony saw us looking worried and when we told him, he assured us nothing would happen. And nothing did. The Italians were funny and one of them had like a crush on Marie. He insisted on her being in a picture with him and he even kissed her on the cheek, while she looked a little anxious. Another Italian even gave Sarah his phone number. Or was it hotel number? Something like that...but we eventually left and headed back to our own hotel.

That was a long explanation...but I'll have a story or picture description for each page...prepare to be sehr froh!

a goofy picture of most of the group, outside of Linderhof: All of us wanted to take a group picture so we could surprise Herr B later. But not all of us were in this one since Elizabeth was out exploring by herself and we didn't want to wait for her. All of the girls (save Hayley, who didn't have long enough hair) put up each other's hair in these crazy ponytails over our heads. And...voila! The picture you see now. Oh yeah, and ignore my bright yellow thingy. I was warm, and it was cold. End of story ^_^

Neuschwanstein (means something like "New Swan Stone"): The amazing castle that the Disneyworld castle was modeled off of. Tony took a lot of pictures of the exterior...if only we were allowed to take pictures inside, but we had an evil tour guide. Sigh...the bedroom was so...indescribable. The walls in each room were themed, and the legend of Tristan and Isolde was inside the bedroom. If you haven't heard it, go look it up. It's heartbreaking...but the wall paintings were pretty. A bookmark I bought inside the castle has a tiny pic of the bedroom so maybe I can scan it or something like that. Side story: The sun was beating down on us so a lot of the people in our group kept on feeling my hair...too bad Tony didn't get a picture of that. Ha.

june 19, 2004: sleepy...sleepy...*BOOM*

welcome to v.e.r.d.a.n.t. paradise

All old comments will be posted under the Archives section, so if you missed a few days of updating, you can see what I posted up.
Let's see...updates...I've created placeholders for the pages I don't have up yet. I made the Hall of Infamy, Archives section, a Recommended and Calendar page, and I think that's about it.

Well, last night, I couldn't get any sleep at all. It's around 11 at night and my contacts are out. I went to my window and looked out but of course I couldn't see anything. All I could hear were voices but that was enough. I hear certain people's names.
Hmmmm...can you guess who? Not to mention the sounds of girly giggling and *innuendos*. I was on the verge of yelling at them to shut up but I decided not to. So what did I do? Well, considering I didn't have my contacts, I grabbed my binoculars to start practicing my spy skills. (I've already mastered the art of walking on hardwood floors without making a sound) I thought my binoculars were broken at first but then I realized I was pointing it at the wall. (Good job, Kat) So then I looked outside and caught the shapes of several hormone-crazy teenagers running around. They were playing some sort of game with flashlights that involved screaming all over the golf course and a ball, I think. Well, 10 minutes of spying and I was bored, so I trained my binoculars on the fireworks instead and spent the next 20 minutes of my life looking at them. The end.

Grrrrr. Hover your mouse over the picture above...(7th grade) If you can't get it at first you might have to position your mouse over the center and scroll down a bit until you get it...o_O

News: I hear that Andy might come over next Saturday with his older sister and his parents. For those of you who remember him...or at least stories of him, I welcome your laughter gladly. If you don't know who he is, then prepare to hear my story... Andy and his parents live in Washington D.C. His parents were really good friends with my parents back when they were all young and I don't know if they had kids yet when they met. Anyways, his oldest sister Mindy is about my sister's age and his older sister Shannie is a year younger than my brother. Andy is my age. Anyways, last summer, certain people were entertaining the idea that our parents wanted to set us up with each other. I don't think that's why they came over but whatever. Andy had to sit next to me in the backseat of our mini-van when we drove all over. We visited Chicago several times, walking by Lake Michigan, walking through a flower garden and etc etc. On the way back from an excursion, my evil older brother Kevin, a.k.a Fried Stew Tastes Bad, told Andy he'd give him $50 if he'd make out with me. Thank goodness nothing happened. I still remain the chaste and as yet unkissed Een. *sigh* Anyways, that's about it. Andy was a cool kid. We played Smash Brothers late at night. He has cute pajamas. Tee hee ^_^

Kurama is amazing. Ashley and I have a thing for adorable anime guys with long red hair....hahaha

june 17, 2004: hubris

welcome to v.e.r.d.a.n.t. paradise

If you find any mistakes, tell me and I'll put you in my Hall of Infamy. It doesn't matter how small it is. It could be either a missing link that doesn't show up, a link that doesn't open in a new window, or the failure of a picture to show. Start searching. Now. You know, that gives me an idea. I might even make an annual "Easter Egg" hunt where I purposefully put mistakes in and the person with the most wins something. Anyways, you can either tag it in, put it in my guestbook or email me. This is all because I want to make this website easy for you to navigate and so you won't be frustrated trying to find something. Also, if I don't have a page up (because I'm lazy), just remind me as kindly as possible and I'll work on it. All I need is motivation and I can usually finish anything within a day or two. Also regarding mistakes...it's a first come-first served basis so I'll compare the dates and time you told me. Make it a friendly competition. You know you want to be in the Hall.

Oh yeah, if you're wondering where the old comments on this page went, check out the Archives section. I've decided to just have one at a time so you won't have to endlessly scroll down.

Handwriting samples are always fun to look at. It's always interesting to see how people express themselves in their writing, and I've found that if you have similar personalities or traits with another person, your handwriting can look the same. Such as Chelsea's, Laurel's and Kristen's (sorry for using you as examples). The three of them, in my humble opinion, have a lot of creative talent that expresses itself in art and music and their handwriting, while not identical, do look really similar. They loop their letters and connect them so if I don't look hard enough, I can't tell it apart.

Or maybe it's just me ^_^

Anyways, here are some handwriting characteristics and test your handwriting. You do it by writing in both cursive and print. Just write an ordinary sentence like..."My name is [insert name here] and I think that v.e.r.d.a.n.t paradise is the coolest! Kathleen is my bestest friend in the galaxy..."

It's up to you. Heehee.

Okay, here you go:

Temper is shown when you cross your t-bars more on the right side of the stem than the left. Also, the more it happens, the easier it is for you to lose...your temper.

Desire for responsibility is shown when you have a large round loop in the beginning of a word. It's usually in capital letters like W or M or N, but it can be found in S as well. If you have this, you have a desire to be needed by a large number of people and prefer to be the leader.

Here are examples of Desire for Responsibility, using various fonts.

MBDP SWN MBPRW

Diplomacy is shown when your "m" and "n" have downslanted humps. If you have this, you have the ability to say things in a way so other people want to hear them. You can also phrase and approach touchy subjects in a nice, usually inoffensive way.

Enthusiasm can be seen in unusually long strokes that make the cross bar of the "t". You're usually pretty hyped up and excited about things. Also, know that enthusiasm is a key ingredient to success in leadership because it motivates others toward action.

june 16, 2004: new layout

If you're interested in finishing TOKK, let me know.

To view this website at its best, please maximize the screen. If you don't know how to do that, please exit this website immediately. If you don't know how to exit the website, please turn off your computer. There should be a little switch that you press. And if you have no switch, go jump out of a window. Preferably a tenth story window.

Just so you know, I've changed the HTML so that all of the pages you want to look at should open up in a new window. Hopefully. This is so you won't have to keep clicking the back button and you can exit instead. And like I said before, if you don't know how to exit, please look at the above for more information. o_O

So. Don't think it. Blah blah blah, once again she's made another website. Well, you see, last time with the other website, certain people had a problem with a certain banner so I decided to keep it simple. With this layout, there IS no picture...therefore, problem solved. *applause* Thank you, thank you. I know. I'm just that amazing. Hmmm...I sounded suspiciously like Pat right there.

Please please please give me feedback. I will listen to whatever you tell me. After all, that's how this page became started. ^_^ I will have an amazing guestbook made for you, not to mention a tagboard on this page. By the way, if anyone wants to start a webring or a blog with me, tell me. This should be fun. Oh yeah. Go to Carvel and buy some ice cream. It's good for you. Coldstone=bad. Carvel=good. Heehee. Alright, I'm done now.

june 16, 2004: new pages

updates, whatnot, paraphernalia...it's all here

Let's see. Well, I've updated this main page and created the calendar page, for June and July so now I'm off to create pages for you greedy people. From experience, all of my links should probably make sense so I won't confuse those brainless idiots. Oh, you're there. Oops. I mean, you amazing and VERY intelligent people. *shifty eyes* If you have an idea for a page or a picture, or if you would like me to link to your website, such as Crystal and Caran's website, just tell me. I'll be more than happy to help you out.
