Second Tale of the Goddess
Tales The Tainting of Fire

These are written in a numerological order to make them easier read, though Tales 2 and 3 are interchangable.

And in the Second Age, Light bore Dark another child, and cub that was truely his father's cub, for his coat was as black as the void between the stars, and the Lahayota call him Nanthrum. Nanthrum, brother of Naapi, grew older and with every year more jealous of His Sister's powers and artistry, but most of all, He was jealous of Her World, and longed to corrupt it in some small way so that Her Great Work would be forever marred. So, year after year, Nanthrum carefully watched the World, seeking some way to mark it. The years were not long when He noticed the the Blessed Peoples, those of Fire, were slowly dying out as the Flame within often flickered to low. And seeing this, Nanthrum cried aloud, "Lo! Look at my Sister's World! She tends to it not; too long she stays in Dreamland, and Her People are dying without Her! Because I love my Sister and am willing to care for Her Work in Her absence, I will create more People to mingle with Hers and repopulate Her World." And so saying, He took of His Soul and created more Lahayota, Raynyaafliya, Delaamafliya, and Wokecait; and He sent them down to the World, where they mingled the the People of Naapi's creation and repopulated the World. However, when Naapi Mother-of-All emerged from DreamLand, She gazed upon Her World with horror, for with the mingling of Blood and Soul Her Blessed Peoples had become wild and fierce, and nearly ran mad from blood-lust. Nanthrum fled in terror from the vengence of Naapi; He took on flesh, and escaped Her wrath hiding in the obsidian halls of the Brimstone Range, knowing full well that His Sister had many more problems to deal with than Him.
