I have advice for those of you out there that collect Sailor Moon dolls or plan on doing so someday. The Sailor Moon R dolls' faces have become translucent over time meaning that their complexions are fading. Before you invest in dolls from that season, I wanted to make sure you knew that. I don't own any dolls from that season, but I have seen plenty of pictures of them and it was easy to see how the faces were losing their color. I prefer to collect Sailor Moon dolls from later seasons because the face molds improved.

If you own or plan on buying any talking Sailor Moon dolls, take the batteries out. If you leave these dolls in the boxes without removing the batteries, the batteries will eventually leak and ruin the packaging and your dolls. I recently bought a talking Sailor Mercury doll and I removed the batteries from it. Removing the batteries is rather easy so even though the instructions for removing the batteries are in Japanese, you can still understand how to do that just by looking at the illustration on the back of the box and by using a little common sense. There is just one screw that you need to remove in order to pop off the little cover where the batteries are. The talking dolls take 4 cell batteries like the ones that are in watches.

I have three Excellent Sailorteam Sailor Moon dolls. They are beautifully made and beautifully packaged but I have a minor warning concerning them. When you purchase an Excellent Sailorteam doll, please understand that because of the way they are packaged, it is easy for someone to remove the doll and its accessories from the box, display it, and then put it back without damaging the packaging or giving much indication that the doll was ever tampered with. I am telling you this because people will sell these dolls and say that they are mint in the box when that is not often the case. Mint dolls are often more expensive than ones that are not mint so don't get tricked into paying a lot for an Excellent Sailorteam doll because it is supposedly mint. I don't want you to end up being disappointed. If you are like me and you just want the doll to come in its original packaging and be in good condition, then I must say that you will be very pleased with the Excellent Sailorteam Sailor Moon dolls. ^_^

If you are bent on buying one of every Sailor Moon doll that was ever made, even just the Bandai Japan ones, you are talking a lot of money. It really adds up. I mean, there were 5 seasons of Sailor Moon and there was a whole line of dolls made for Sailor Moon R, S, Super S, and Stars plus the newest line of Sailor Moon dolls based on the Japanese musicals called Sailor Moon World. (There were only a few dolls made for the first season of Sailor Moon.) For some seasons, such as Super S, there were several different dolls of the same characters manufactured, just wearing different outfits or being of the talking variety. You might want to modify your idea of what you want....

For me, I plan to just collect the prettiest (in my opinion) doll for each Sailor Moon character (or buy a more affordable one that is still very nice like in the case of Sailor Saturn for instance). You can buy the Super Sailor outfits separately for the inner dolls so you don't have to buy a talking Super Sailor Venus doll in order to have the Super Sailor Venus fuku for your regular Sailor Venus doll (the same goes for Jupiter, Mars, Moon, and Mercury). The only way you can get Super Sailor outfits for the outer senshi is to buy the Stars dolls unless you want to make your own. (Warning: The bows look rather cheap....) My advice for those of you that want all three Sailor Moon fukus for your Sailor Moon doll but don't want to buy a Sailor Moon doll, a Super Sailor Moon doll, and an Eternal Sailor Moon doll is for you to buy an Eternal Sailor Moon doll and then buy the regular Sailor Moon outfit and the Super Sailor Moon outfit. (The reason I say buy an Eternal Sailor Moon doll is because as far as I know, you can NOT buy the Eternal Sailor Moon fuku separately.) It's cheaper to buy two doll fukus and one doll than to buy three dolls (especially since Japanese Super Sailor Moon dolls are very rare).

The boxes of Sailor Moon dolls not from Sailor Moon World or other recent lines will often have a film of dirt on them due to simply existing for 10 years or so and being traded and sold usually multiple times over the years. I recommend using a damp paper towel to remove any dirt from the boxes. (You often can't see the dirt. Just clean them and you will see what I mean.) Don't scrub wildly as if you are cleaning your bathtub please.... That's not necessary. ^-^; The Excellent Sailorteam dolls require more cleaning than the other dolls because chances are your doll is NOT mint even though you might think so due to the nature of the packaging. Just cleaning the outside of the cover and the actual box is not enough a lot of times. All three of my Excellent Sailorteam dolls had small blackish "smudges" on their hands, legs, or their faces which I was able to remove using a damp paper towel. If there is a white price sticker on the box that you want to remove from the front of the box (the thin plastic cover) carefully scrape it off with your fingernail and then remove any sticker residue with a wet paper towel. My Sailor Jupiter doll had hair spray in sections of her hair which I removed with a wet wash cloth. I then just dried her hair on low with a hair drier. It's actually sort of fun to clean the dolls up. ^_^

If you display your dolls out of their boxes, just dust them every once in awhile. Keep them out of direct sunlight and extreme heat. Also keep them away from cigarette smoke, pets, and small children. That's pretty much it. Have fun collecting!

These dolls are NOT for sale.

Bandai Asia Sailor Moon S Sailor Pluto Doll

This doll is a Sailor Moon S doll made by Bandai Asia. She is 11 inches tall. She came with her outfit, shoes, gloves, transformation wand, choker necklace, stand, and time staff. Her earrings are the ones that Sailor Pluto wears so they are correct. Her outfit is purple for some reason. Why is that? Does anyone know? Her bow is the right color but her boots are purple instead of black and her outfit is white and purple instead of white and black. Strange. In fact, I've never seen a Sailor Pluto doll with a black and white outfit. Her hair is not the color that you see here. It looks dark brown in this picture but it is really a VERY pretty dark green...maybe olive green. Very pretty! She is NOT for sale.

Bandai Asia Sailor Moon S Sailor Neptune Doll

The doll pictured below came with her outfit, choker necklace, shoes, stand, gloves, 2 cards, and her transformation wand. Her earrings are gold balls. She is a Bandai Asia doll and she is a Sailor Moon S doll. My scanner did not do her outfit justice. Her outfit is the most beautiful teal (greenish blue)! Her hair color almost perfectly matches the teal color of her outfit. Her shoes are teal as well but the color is more blue than green while the color of the doll's outfit is more green than blue. She is 11 inches tall. You might be able to see the outline on her shoes in the out of the box picture. I decided to remove her shoes one day and cut along the outlines so her shoes would be open like Sailor Neptune's. It worked very well I must say. Why the company did not do this themselves is beyond me. I'm sorry but she is NOT for sale.

Bandai Japan Sailor Moon World Super Sailor Chibi Moon Doll (2001)

This doll is so pretty! ~*~ She came with her gloves, super sailor outfit, sailor boots, pink hair accessories, choker necklace, gold "wing" hair accessory, white boots, and a cute little pink dress! ~*~ She didn't come with a stand...so I just took one of my other doll's stands.... ~*~giggle~*~ I never liked that fashion doll anyway! She wasn't a Sailor doll so there! *evil giggle* ANYWAY...she is 6 inches tall and she looks so cute in between my 11 inch tall Sailor Neptune and Sailor Pluto dolls. She is a Sailor Moon World doll which makes her one of the newest Sailor Moon dolls. The card was just something the seller decided to throw in. I thought that was nice of her. ^_^

Bandai Japan Excellent Sailorteam Sailor Venus Doll (1994)

This is an absolutely gorgeous doll!!! Gorgeous!!!! I assure you that her outfit is orange. It is a reddish orange but it IS orange. I now have an Excellent Sailorteam Sailor Mars doll and there is a very distinctive color difference between the outfit of the Sailor Venus doll and the outfit of the Sailor Mars doll.

The Excellent Sailorteam Sailor Venus doll comes with a clear display stand, her outfit, tiara with a yellow "stone" in it, orange shoes exactly like the ones Sailor Venus really wears, her transformation wand, gloves trimmed in metallic reddish orange material, orange choker necklace, red hair bow, and a prismatic sticker card. She is 11 inches tall. Her earrings are gold balls and her hair is in a ponytail. It is not styled the way Sailor Venus wears it. The outfit is lovely. It is metallic reddish orange. The front bow is made of metallic gold cloth and regular blue cloth. The back bow is made of metallic gold material with regular yellow cloth.

The box itself has a cover that has a black background with a metallic orange silhouette of Sailor Venus on the front. There is a beautiful message on the front of the doll box. It reads "With love and beauty draped around her body, See the best days in splendor, the fighter of Venus". I can't say enough about this doll and the way it is packaged. ^_^

German Igel Queen Beryl Doll

This doll is excellently made and very detailed. Her face is very lovely. She has reddish orange hair that is very pretty. She is taller than my 11" dolls so I would think her to be 11 1/2 inches tall. She comes with her staff, purple shoes, a stand, a pink brush, a pink comb, and a pink mirror. The details on this doll make it so sought after. Her dress is a wonderful replica of Queen Beryl's. Her hands are even sculpted to look like Queen Beryl's. She has long white nails as well! Her tiara, necklace, and earrings are wonderful imitations of Queen Beryl's. She has two cuff bracelets like Queen Beryl's which are not removable. This doll even has the "thorns" on her shoulders. I have never bought a villain doll from any movie or series before but this doll was too beautiful to pass up. ^_^

Bandai Japan Excellent Sailorteam Sailor Mars Doll (1994)

This is an absolutely beautiful doll!!! This doll is a perfect replica of Sailor Mars! The Excellent Sailorteam Sailor Mars doll comes with a stand, her outfit, red high heels, tiara, transformation wand, gloves trimmed in metallic red material, red choker necklace, and a prismatic sticker card. This doll's hair is a very nice deep dark brown. You probably can't see this but her earrings are gold stars. She is 11 inches tall. The doll's outfit is absolutely beautiful. It is a dark metallic red, not a wild red at all. The front bow is made of metallic gold cloth and regular violet cloth. The back bow is made of metallic gold material with regular red cloth.

For some reason, the one I got did NOT come with the prismatic sticker card that it should have. The card that came with my doll is just an ordinary cardboard card of Rei. A pretty card but not the original one.... Does anyone know what doll this cardboard card really came from? Since it IS a cardboard card, I would assume that it had to have come with a doll. This is not a trading card. I have not been able to identify its true origin so far. Your help would be appreciated. My doll also came with her choker already on! It was supposed to be in the bag with the gloves. Not that it really matters as long as it did come with the choker but it is rather odd.

The box itself has a cover with a black background that has a lovely red silhouette of Sailor Mars on the front. There is a beautiful message on the front of the doll's box. It reads in gold "Girl's burning enthusiasm, Passionate-hearted fighter of Mars".

Bandai Japan Sailor Moon World 2002 Eternal Sailor Moon Doll

This is an absolutely beautiful doll!!! A must have for collectors! She is 11 inches tall. This doll comes with her outfit, red hair accessories, white boots with red around the top and crescent moons in the middle at the top, gold tiara with a crescent moon in the center, the short eternal tiaru, gloves, red choker necklace with a yellow heart in the center, gold "wing" hair accessory, and 2 cardboard cards. No wings. Weird.

You probably can't see this but her earrings are gold stars and moons. The boots have a pearlescent sort of glow to them. The gloves are very detailed! They are white gloves trimmed in metallic pink material with two gold bands around the top. Around the wrist part is one band made of regular pink cloth and there is an iridescent light pink piece of material at the top cut to look like a wing on each glove!

The box itself is absolutely beautiful! I cannot bring myself to remove this doll from her box. The box and the doll just coordinate too well!

The doll's outfit is lovely. The sleeves are metallic pink and the collar is dark blue with gold braid. The heart and wings piece on the front of her outfit is gold and her back bow is made of metallic pink material with a wide band of gold braid. The ends of the back bow hang down farther than the ones the Excellent Sailorteam dolls have and yet they are shorter in length than the ones on the Super Sailor Moon Crisis Dress. The doll's skirt is made up of three layers. The top layer is metallic gold, the second is metallic pink, and the third is dark metallic blue, the same color as the Sailor collar. Her hair is so pretty! It is the most beautiful golden color and curled.

If you get one doll from Sailor Moon, get this one! There is a doll that looks a lot like this one but the box is different; it has Super Sailor Moon on the box and one of the cards that comes with the doll has a picture of Super Sailor Moon on it. I like this one better because it seems like the other one is in the wrong box. This doll is a Sailor Moon World 2002 doll. The one with Super Sailor Moon on the box is from an earlier year, I think. Pictured below is the part of the box that says 2002.

Bandai Japan Excellent Sailorteam Sailor Jupiter Doll (1994)

This is a breathtaking doll! A lovely replica of Sailor Jupiter! The Excellent Sailorteam Sailor Jupiter doll comes with a clear display stand, her outfit, green lace-up boots, tiara with a green "stone" in the center, gold transformation wand, gloves trimmed in metallic green material, green choker necklace, green hair ornament, and a prismatic sticker card of Sailor Jupiter. This doll's hair is medium brown. You probably can't see this but her earrings are gold roses. The doll is 11 inches tall.

The doll's outfit is absolutely beautiful. It is a beautiful metallic emerald green. The front bow is made of metallic gold cloth and regular light pink cloth. The back bow is also made of metallic gold material with regular light pink cloth.

The box itself has a cover with a black background that has a lovely dark green silhouette of Sailor Jupiter on the front. There is a beautiful message on the front of the doll's box. It reads in gold "Her power is the fruit of sweet love, The fighter of jupiter full of romance". Yes, the word "Jupiter" is in all lowercase letters instead of initial caps.

Bandai Japan Charatalk Crystal Power Sailor Mercury Doll (1995)

This doll is very beautiful! The SuperS Charatalk Sailor Mercury doll comes with a light pink heart-shaped display stand with dark pink hearts, ribbons, and stars depicted on it, her outfit, pearlescent blue knee high boots with white trim, tiara with a dark blue "stone" in the center, gold Crystal Power transformation wand, iridescent white gloves trimmed in metallic blue material, dark blue choker necklace with a gold star in the center, and two cardboard cards; one of Super Sailor Moon doing Moon Gorgeous Meditation and one of Super Sailor Chibi Moon doing Twinkle Yell. The doll is 11 inches tall. Her hair is dark blue and her earrings are simple gold studs.

The doll's outfit is absolutely exquisite. The bodice of the outfit is made of iridescent white material. The Sailor collar is made of the same metallic medium blue material that the gloves are trimmed with. There is a single wide stripe on the collar that is made of metallic gold material. The sleeves are made of shiny iridescent pink material. The front bow is made of metallic slate blue cloth and it sort of fans out. There is a pearlescent blue heart in its center that is a little darker than the bow. The back bow is also made of metallic slate blue material and as it should be, the bow is oversized with longer ribbons. The skirt of the fuku is made up mostly of metallic silver thread with prismatic (has a holographic sort of effect) silver threads interwoven throughout. There is also plain dark blue thread interwoven with the silver threads, giving the skirt a blue sort of glow without it overpowering the silver. The skirt is trimmed at the bottom with metallic medium blue material.

She says three phrases in Japanese when you press the button that is on her back. I think one of them must be "Mercury Crystal Power, Make-up!" This doll is labeled IRS which means if you have the Japanese Kaleidoscope Wand, you can make the doll talk without pressing the button. She takes 4 LR44 cell batteries. I removed the batteries because I didn't want them to leak and ruin the doll.
