William Ames was born 1602 and died 11 March 1654 at Braintree, MA.  He married Hannah before 1641.  They had the following children:

John Ames was born 24 May 1647 at Salem, MA and died 1726 prob. at Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.  He married Sarah Willis, daughter of John Willis, before 1672.  They had the following children:

John Ames was born 14 April 1672 at Bridgewater, Plymouth Colony (now Plymouth Co., MA) and died 1 January 1756 at Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.  He married Sarah Washburn 12 January 1696/97 at Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.  She was born 1674 in Duxbury, Plymouth Colony (now Plymouth Co., MA), and died 1746 in West Bridgewater, MA.  For further information see the Washburn Family.  They had the following children:

Generation 5

Sarah Ames was born 23 January 1702/03 in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA, and died 20 July 1770 in Brockton, Plymouth Co., MA.  She married Capt. Abiel Packard 11 January 1722/23 in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.  He was born 29 April 1699 in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA, and died 1 June 1774 in Brockton, Plymouth Co., MA.  For further information see the Packard Family.  They had the following children:

Joseph Ames was born 1711.  He married first to Susanna Littlefield 6 July 1736 in West Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.  She was the daughter of Edmund Littlefield and Bethia Waldo and was born October 1716 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA, and died 1 June 1753 in West Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.  Joseph Ames married second Ruth Field 1754 and  he married third Abigail Lathrop 1768.

Zephaniah Ames was born 1776, and died between 1832 - 1849 in Fall Creek Twp., Adams Co., IL or Fulton Co., IL.  He married Dianthe Case 6 May 1800 in Becket, Berkshire Co., MA.  She was born 1778 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, and died between 1830 - 1849 in Fall Creek Twp., Adams Co., IL or Fulton Co., IL.  For further information see the Case Family.  They had the following children:

Generation 8

Loring Ames was born 13 September 1806 in Becket, Berkshire Co., MA.  He married Almira Jones 10 January 1833 in Fulton Co., IL.  She was born Abt. 1817 in NY.  They had the following children:

Generation 9


Diantha Ames was born December 1838 at Illinois and died 12 December 1928 at Norwood, Lucas Co., IA. She married William Millar/Miller 2 May 1859 at Mason Co., IL. He was born 11 July 1832 at Armagh, Ireland and died 16 March 1901 at Norwood, Lucas Co., IA. For more information about him see the Millar/Miller Family. They had the following children:
