SECRET SHAME
Lots of useful and sound advice; the coping sections are particularly good :)
FINDING MY WINGS
I think Darcy is wonderful! This page is mostly eating disorder focussed, but she’s so open and honest- please take a look!
KHARRE’S HOME
Insightful, personal. I recommend reading her advice.
SELF-INJURY: A STRUGGLE
Beautfiul site, lotsa links and info
RAGDOLL’S CANDLE-LIT TUNNEL
Always regularly updated, this is a sweet site :) go there cos it’s GREAT!
PSYKE
I am putting this link up because there is a lot of useful information on the site... however, there are also some pretty graphic photos of self-harm, and personal stories which are (of course) upsetting to read. It’s meant to help people feel more understood rather than just being depressing, but please be careful!
RED TEARS ARE ONLY LIES
Gothic site by a German girl. A bit different to many of the others around
BLOOD RED RAZOR KISSES
It’s red, black, has pictures of razors and graphic photos of SI
THAT OLD FAMILIAR STING
Ok... so it’s red and black... but it’s still a good site :)
ERROR DUE TO PERSPECTIVE
I like their attitude!
SCARS TO MATCH THE INSIDE
Who? What? Why? and Help!
A HEALING TOUCH
About Self-injury, reasons, myths, self-help, family and friends help, lyrics/ poetry
BLOOD RED
Another "Healthy Place" Site
MOSAIC MINDS
Understanding SI urges
SECRET SCARS
Personally I think some of the information might be a bit dodgy (i.e. putting toothpaste on scars to help them heal!) Having said that, it’s great to see a page focused on bringing self-harmers together for support; there’s a chat room and pen pal options
MIRROR-MIRROR
An eating-disorder focussed site, with a self-injury section.
SECRET PAIN
Fairly recently updated site with distractions etc.
STARCHART
This is a sweet idea- you get stars for meeting SI targets, however it’s affiliated site (myfriend-myenemy) is now down and I’m not sure it’s still being updated.
CUTTING THROUGH THE ISOLATION
Hasn’t been updated for years... but I’m leaving up the link because I think she’s amazing at expressing what she feels... it’s the first self-injury site I came across and I really felt understood.
