From the Pearly Gates to the Sheppards' gates, she doesn't remember her past as a seraphim serving her Lord. But she grew greedy, selfish, and God sent her to Earth as punishment, and as a teaching. There, she would learn the power of his Love and his Majesty.
The Sheppards were one of the few families God counted as his own. But they were loosing faith. Maritte, John Sheppard's wife, was barren. She had born three sons and from then on she'd miscarried everyone. She prayed ceaselessly for a miracle, and it didn't fall on deaf ears.
One snowy night, there came a knock on the door. Maritte rose to
Dannielle, as she was called, didn't remember anything of her past life besides a bright light and a warm loving feeling. The first memories she had were of Maritte welcoming her into the house, naming her, and her becoming part of the familiy. Dannielle's job was tending to the sheep, and so, she learned how to care for all, and see the good in all of the animals. She loved her job, until the day when a mysterious form appeared in front of her, and ordered her to go from her home. She of course, told her mother and father, and so, with much weeping and goodbyes, she left.
She has a deep distrust of men, because when she first set out, she was attacked by men.. who could no more be called men than pigs call cows. She isn't too skilled with her powers, but her crook was endowed with incredible properties by the form that appeared before her, and so she is protected. She has no memories of her angelic past, but still tends to act in many ways exactly like she would if she was an angel.
By the way, watch out for her roundhouse. It's vicious.
