Catch me if you can, Come and find me mortal man. I, the ruler of the wood, knows what mortal man never could. Immortality is my own, The deepest forest is my home. I am one and yet am all, I will heed no mortal's call. I, revered by friend and foe, The way to truth is what I show. Man's mortality, hate, and greed, Only strengthens my Lord's creed. No man's hand shall stay my mane, All may try but all in vain. All men dream of seeing me, but blessed are the few to be. All believe in my God's power, But ne'er confirmed in mortal hour. Till the life seeps from their mind, Themselves before their god they find. Their judgement they shall quickly meet, But shall they sing at my god's feet? Shall they, blessed, finally see From dream's past the whole of me? Beyond the realm of the Pearly Gates, That is where your one dream waits. |
