The Zoo

An unclimbed highball on Kingsbury Creek, just above the zoo

This might just be one of the most aesthetic bouldering areas in town. The climbing is on a reddish rock that actually has friction(a little unique for Duluth). It's on the north bank of Kingsbury Creek, just below the I-35 bridge. Some of the lines are pretty highball, and most of those have pretty bad landings. There are shorter problems with good landings around too. To date we have only put in 8 or 9 routes, and they are pretty spread out, so I didn't draw up a topo. As soon as spring arrives I will hopefully have a picture guide of the area on the net. In the mean time, if the weather is good this place is definately worth checking out.

Here are some of the boulders we put up problems on.
