So, I guess I will start with what "Going Raw" means. No, it doesn't mean that I will be streaking at the Wal-Mart any time soon.. It means eating raw food that comes from plants. It means that nothing that I eat will be cooked.
You have to ask yourself; "Why?!"
I will tell you. The main reason? It feels great! After 3 days on the Raw Food you get an energy boost that is incredible. The health aspects are great, but the mental and physical are even greater. Now, about 2 weeks before Thanksgiving I went 100% raw for 5 days. The first 2 days I just kept eating apples, grapes and bannans as soon as I started feeling hungry. This really kept the cravings down. On the 3rd day, I was just not as hungry and didn't have the cravings for cooked foods. Day 4 I discovered that I was allergic to raw almonds and I kinda got freaked out by the throat closing symptoms from this. I wound up eating cooked soup trying to get the throat to open up. I then gave up the next day. (Thanksgiving was comming up anyway.)
I lost 4 lbs in those 5 days, but I felt great! The energy that I had was through the roof!.
So now here it is Dec. 8th and I am going back on. I went to Costco and bought more apples, bannanas, grapes, tomatos, garlic and ignoring the wonderful aroma of pizza, went home and had grapes. I packed all that I thought I needed for work and took it with me.
I do not know what I weigh at the moment, but I know it is over 280 lbs. Lets see what happens as I keep this going.
Till next blog,
Laren
