Note: This guide is to teach you how to act and what to expect online. If you are familiar with the online version of the game you should know all of the following so you should not read this guide. This guide is really meant to help the newbie through his/her first time entering the PSO world. The Online Guide When you go online you should be taught certain things so you can enjoy a great online experience. This guide will teach you manners, how to spot theives, and how to be just like any other player. Ch. 1 Courtesy When you play online you will be with other players just like you. Everyone should be treated fairly and with respect. So try to be your nicest and think for others, not just yourself. When someone cries for help or if you just realize your teammate needs some assistance help him out and you'll recieve the same treatment. When there is treasure you should take some but leave some treasure behind for your fellow teammates. Everyone deserves a little something. If someone dies you should NEVER take their money or weapon because it makes the person feel bad and mad because they speant a while looking for that weapon. This act is considered stealing and no one should steal from another. Ch. 2 The Dark Side Of PSO Unfortunately, not all players follow the rules in PSO. Some players steal and PK and others are just plain rude. This part of the guide will teach you how to avoid these shady characters. The PKer: PK stands for player kill. PKers go into rooms and kill all the players for fun, or to rob them of their weapons and money. The PKer is usually Lvl 100 and uses a gameshark. They can cast magic in the town and can kill themselves anywhere by casting resta. Sometimes they even ask you to equip your best weapons and then they will kill you and rob you senselessly. Not only can PKers PK but some can freeze you (FSOD) and make your file corrupt so you cannot play (CK) When you notice people with the description above leave the game immediately. The theif: The thief is a person that goes around collecting all the items you earn, found in treasure boxes, and mostly: your items. The theif always asks for free items and when you are trading with someone he stays close by so when you drop the item he'll pick it right up. When you trade with a theif he usually says you drop your item first then he'll pick it up and not drop his item he promised you. If you die the theif will take all your stuff and not revive you. If you meet someone with the description above either leave, make no trades, or just equip a weapon with no value to you and continue playing. This is all I have up for the online guide I think this is all the information you'll need but if you need more information just tell me and I will post up more tips. |
