10/27/08 - Bought the SC from San Diego CA. Rebuilt 1680cc engine and transmission, carb rebuilt, 12 volt, new clutch and throwout bearing, new gear box seals and fluid, new tie rods and drag link, new steering dampener, new shocks, spring plates notched, painted, and lowered, spindles dropped, welded, painted, and rebuilt, all new brake lines and shoes, new rear wheel cylinders, rebuilt front wheel cylinders, new rear window and seals, Door frames stripped, painted, rebuilt with new seals, felt, hardware, New reproduction ribbed bumpers, new upholstery, door panels, and headliner, new ignition switch, and new Wolfgang safari windows. Solid overall but needs d/s dogleg and front floors repaired. A few small holes in the bed and in the d/s rear fenderwell.
11/17/08 - Transporter arrived at 5:30pm.
11/20/08 - Removed headlamp buckets and adjusted the headlamps. One was in sideways and the other in almost upside down. Needless to say neither was shining on the road. D/S front tire was low on air so I put air in it.
11/21/08 - Drove it to work and across town today. No problems.
11/22/08 - Got in to drive to York SC to tinker on it and got the dead battery sound when I turned the key. Did it a couple times so I went to the back to check the connection. Smoke came out when I opened the decklid and the wires around the voltage regulator had melted.
11/28/08 - Replaced wire, runs fine now.
12/20/08 - Took the SC to Monkey Nut where they installed a pair of 175/55/15's on the front using two restored crows feet rims. Brakes adjusted and steering column bracket repaired. Original bus air cleaner and bracket installed as it had none.
1/4/09 - Used POR Patch to repair holes in the floor. Not the prettiest repair but it will hold until a new floor can be installed.
