Fruits Basket is a shoujo anime based on the animal zodiac.
It introduces the main character named Honda Tohru. She is
first discovered living in a tent with her mother's photo.
We find out that her mom had past away and her only living
family is her grandfather. She doesn't live with him. Her
two friends, "the yankee" and "the pyshic." She meets up
with Yuki, and Shigure in the beginning. Many charcters are
introduced. Later we find out a bit about Tohru's life. Another
main character appears. His name is Kyo. We find a certain comic
relief towards him. Tohru discovers accidently that they have a
curse. This curse is when the person of the opp. gender hugs them
... they turn into animals. In the Anime, The animals that are
featured are, a rat, a cat, a dog, a baby dragon (sea horse),
a rabbit, a cow, a monkey, a tiger, a sheep, and a snake. There are
26 ep. In the manga, Still in continuation and the lastest would be
8th or 9th manga book. I know that the 8th has Haru's profile on the cover.
