Why, do you ask, is a 15 year old Mid-Western teenage girl so hopelessly devoted to Rick Springfield? Isn't he a has-been, with one solid hit? *Ahem - One Solid Hit to YOU! We know better!* And where is he now? WHY DOES SHE LOVE HIM SO MUCH?

Well *ahem*. I'll tell you all about why I'm a huge fan of Rick Springfield. For starters, he's really good-looking. He's got the most amazing eyes, the most beautiful chestnut brown hair (besides my curly tresses, of course) and that's just the beginning...

But there's more to Rick than his looks. Take his concerts for instance. How many recording artists do you know that interact so much with their fans? Oh, sure there's the occassional crowd dive and the rare dangerous risk of them lending something more than just a hand... But, Rick lets it all hang out. He literally ventures into the crowd (promptly being swallowed by hordes of screaming fans, mind you), touching, hugging, and crawling over chairs. We can't forget the dream of most Rick fans - I Get Excited. He pulls a group of fans up on stage to sing and dance to the song. And if you're the Girl of the moment, you'll find yourself having his guitar slid over your body... and experiencing the Rick-wich! I'd like to see Britney Spears accomplish such a feat!

Of course, there's the obvious - his music. He's so spiritually, emotionally, and mentally involved with his music it's not even funny! He also takes risks with his music - singing about what on his mind instead of what he's told to, or what everyone else is singing about. And his guitar playing - wow. I don't really know what to say about that, but it's really great. Who else do you know who can play beautiful music by slicing roses on his guitar?

I could go on and on forever about Rick - His personality, his charm, and his family. But it would literally take pages for me to express why it is I love this man - and those words wouldn't be enough.
