This is my 3rd version of the Sukhoi S-21 supersonic business jet.
It was a combined effort between Sukhoi in the Soviet Union and
Gulfstream Aerospace in the US. As of the 1994-1995 Janes All
the World's Aircraft, the program has been delayed till the
late 1990's. There is a requirement for 150 aircraft on or about
the year 2000.

The book says it's a three engined low/mid-wing aircraft with
a compound sweep, highly swept inner panels, an oval-section
fuselage, all-moving swept foreplanes, and a supersonic shock
wave 3-4 times lower than the Concorde. The controls are, of
course, digital fly-by-wire.

I had a real hard time with this aircraft. It was very difficult
to get the visuals perfect. If you want an aircraft that can
cruise at 1150 kts, take up to ten passengers for those long
trips, this is the plane for you.

Sukhoi S-21

Engine: Three Aviadvigatel D-21A1 turbofans, each with
          16,535 lbs of thrust
Fuel: 58465 lbs.
Gross Wt: 55,182 lbs.

Airspeed Data:

Vne (never exceed) Mach 2.00
Max level speed about 1200 kts
Econ cruising speed 1150 kts
Stall speed full flp 80 kts (a guess)
Stall speed clean 90 kts (a guess)
Cruising altitude 50,000-60,000 ft.
Range about 4000 nm

Cabin is of course fully pressurized.
Sorry I couldn't come up with more information, but there
is very little written about this plane yet.
