For the First Time-3&4

For the next eight hours the Barretts and the Jacks switched places so that Brenda and Jax were sitting on one row and Julia and Jerry on another.

By the time the plane landed in London all four of them looked liked they had known each other forever. Both Brenda and Julia agreed to have diner the next night with Jax and Jerry. Brenda with Jax. Julia with Jerry. In separate restaurants as both pairs of siblings agreed.

After that first night out both couples were inseparable. The Jacks brothers took an impromptu vacation and the Barrett sisters decided that the world could wait till the next time they were free. So, for a whole month, all four of them discovered London together. Without any compromise, without any worry, living their lives on day at time.

"You know this will be our last night together, don't you?" Jax asked while he held Brenda "Yes, I know" was all she could answer.

"Will this be goodbye?" he made her face him and asked trying not to let her see how sad that made him. She saw it anyway's and smiled.

"You know it has to be this way. Don't fight it." She pleaded both verbally and with her hazel eyes.

Jax couldn't stand it; he didn't understand what had happened in the last month. This Brown hared goddess had stolen his heart and now she wanted to break it. "No Brenda. It doesn't have to be this way." He said with hint of impatience in his voice.

Brenda took his face in her hands and looked at him straight in the eye "Oh baby, I'm hurting too; but you know this is the way is gotta be. We lived a wonderful fantasy, but that's what it was. And you know it?"

"Yes I know." He sighed "I just don't want to let go. I've never felt so alive. When I'm with you is like everything is brighter, prettier, better…Oh I can't understand what you make me feel" he suddenly looked away for he was unable to hide his pain. He knew what he had to do but at the same time he wasn't ready to give up his freedom.

"You know what? I think were meant to be, just not now, not here. I mean, what I feel for you is like nothing I've felt before, but I have to be honest and admit to you and to myself that I'm still not over my previous relationship and that there are still many things that I need to do, that I want to do, things that I want YOU to do. Things that we need to do alone." As she spoke she walked towards him, turned him and kissed him with all the passion she had, with all the passion she didn't want to take home with her, and at that moment she forgot about tomorrow and led him to their bed.

They had been sharing this bed for a week now; she didn't know how she would be able to sleep without him. She was used to feeling his arms around her at night and his sweet kisses in the morning. This was their last night; she needed to show him what he meant to her "Oh Jax… I need you, I need you now" He didn't need any more encouragement, he took his clothes of and then hers and took her to a place she had never been before, to a place he had never been before. Heaven. After two hours of the greatest love making Brenda left their room while he slept.

"This is unbeleveble we are actually on a plane on time. I never thought I would be alive to see this day" Brenda smiled, she knew Julia was pretending, she knew her sister was as hurt as she was about leaving London. "You know Jules, I have a small headache, I'm going to try and get some sleep. Ok?" she said while she snuggled in her seat.

"Ok" Julia agreed as she remmeberd her wonderfull month in London. She still couldn't believe all that had happened. After two days in London she had moved in to a small suite with Jerry, while Brenda and Jax decided to take their time. She giggled at that, she never would have thought she would succumb to her carnal needs faster that Brenda. But she had. It was like an explosion, Jerry made her feel so wanted and Beautiful and that first night together she could've sworn she saw God and it was a woman. She smiled again. Every night after that had been like the first one, a wonderful rolercoaster. She was afraid that this would happen, afraid that she would miss him, afraid that she wouldn't be able to go on without him near her. "Oh Jerry. How will I go on without you?" she whispered right before she fell asleep herself.

She goes to med school at PCU and two weeks after Brenda left on her trip she and Jason Broke up. Oh and Carly doesn’t exist nor does L&B; but Ned and Lois are married and have 6 month old baby girl named Brooke-Lynn.

Chapter 4

“That’s not funny Alan. I mean it” Julia couldn’t believe what the doctor was telling her.

“Well Julia, I’m not Joking. It may be a little funny since your sister is pregnant as well but you’re about two weeks farther along than Brenda” the doctor said as he looked at Julia Barret. It was amazing he thought, as he looked at her; two months ago Brenda had been on that same chair with the same incredolous look on her face. He knew that the had both gotten pregnant in London for the dates of conception matched with the time they had gone their. He made a mental note of this. He will make sure Emely doesn’t set foot in London unless she’s married.

“You don’t understand Alan, this is not the type of thing that happens to me. You know? Im the responsible sister, I’m ….I’m….what would Brenda call it? Yes!! Im the-all-work-and-no-play Julia Barret. So you see Alan I don’t get pregnant. Brenda does. I don’t have a life. I WORK!!.” She screamed as she got up from her chair and started pacing in Alan’s office.

Alan couldn’t help but grin. He had witness a lot of reactions this type of news, but never on like this. He couldn’t wait to tell Monica. “Well Julia. Youre pregnant. That’s all I can say” Julia still couldn’t believe what she was hearing “No ofence Alan, but are you sure?”

“I know this is not what you want to hear Julia but you’re 3 ½ months preagnant. I can even tell you when the baby was conceived”

“thanks Alan, but there’s no need. I know when it was” She said as she left his office. What was she going to do? She had fought with Brenda because she wouldn’t contact Jax, but now she wasn’t sure she could contact Jerry herself. She didn’t what she would say to him. What he would say to her. This was to confusing she thought as she reached her car. She got in turned on the engine and drove home.

When she got to their apartment she looked at the place in awe. When she and Brenda moved above the Outback they only thought two people would live there, and now their would four? Oh!! This is to much.She got her purse closed the car and headed home. As she opened the door, she heard nothing so she figured Brenda would be at school. Brenda she was so proud of her sister; when they first got there after their vacation she had taken some courses at PCU. She saidz that Jax had shoed her that business could be fun and that she want it to learn so that she could Julia at Barrett Industries.But now everything was crumbling down. All Julia could think about was Jerry and the baby they had created that perfect night; it had been their first night. She was sure. And know as she contemplated the consecuences she knew that it wasn’t Godwhat she had seen that night it was her unborn child. She was going to have a little girl. She was sure of that.

“Jules?! Are you home?” Brenda asked as she closed the doorto their apartment

“You’ll never guess..” she didn’t finish her sentence. Julia was home. She was curled up like a little on the sofa. You could tell she had been crying. She looked tired, and even in her sleep she looked sad. She must be thinking about Jerry Brenda thought. If she really is my sister she must miss him as much as miss Jax. Probably more; Jerry was Julia’s first love, Brenda was sure. She walked up to her sister and gave her asmall kiss on her forhead “We’ll get through this Julia. You’ll see the three of us will be happy” she said while she gave her sister a small hug.

“Actually the four of us will be happy” Julia said as she tried free herself from Brenda’s semi-hug.

“what?!” Brenda asked not understanding the meaning of her big sisters words

“Well Bren, you remember Ihad that appointment with Alan two days ago?” she asked and Brenda just nodded “Well this morning he called me at the office and tall me he needed to talk to me, so I maid an appointment for this afternoon. I just came from the hospital and….” She hesitated not knowing what to expect.

“and?” Brenda asked anxiously.

“Well sis, Im 3 ½ months pregnant” she said while staring at her sister’s incredolous face. “Oh God How I wish I had a camera right now. Youre reaction is priceless” Julia said while she stood up and left her sister speechless and on her knees from the shock; then suddenly Brenda started laughing, she just couldn’t stop. She turned around looked at Julia and laughed. Julia didn’t understand but she started laughing and pretty soon they were histerical.

“ This is precious. We are both pregnant and by brothers nontheless. So, what do we do now?” Brenda asked still recovering from her laughter attack.

“How about we go down stairs, tell Mac to give us a table and celebrate by eating all the food we want” Julia said while looking at Brenda

“I always knew you were the brains in the family” Brenda said grinning and heading to the door. As she opened she said “Well Jules, what are you waiting this nephew of your is really hungry”

An hour and half later both Barret sisters were waiting for desert. That had chosen three different thins already and then sent them back. This preagnacy deal was really frustrating at least for the cook anyway, no one had ever returned a plateand now these women returened not one but three, three!. He couldn’t believe it, but he agreed because he liked the Barretts. They were nice girls.

“I’m staying with this one” Julia finally said while digging in chocolate mousse(?) “How about you Bren?” she asked while she put a spoonfull in her mouth.

“Well Im staying with the blueberry cheesecake” she said. At that moment she heard some noise at the door and looked up. It was Ned and Lois with to other people she couldn’t really see. She stood up and as she waved to her friend she called “Lois!Lois!! over here”

“Bren, there you are I’ve been looking all over the place for you. I want you to meet some of Ned’s friends” she said as she moved to one side and pointed to the two men Ned was talking to. All she could do was scream his name.

“JAX!!!!”
