Chapter 76

Stefan Returns

Shannon is sitting in front of the computer in the den at the penthouse when the phone rings. She lets it ring a couple of times as she finishes what she is typing. After the fourth ring she picks it up.

Shannon: "Hello, Shanon O'Day"

Stefan: "Hello sweetheart. How are you?"

Shannon: "Now that you called I am great. How was your trip to Greece?"

Stefan: "Boring. I missed you too much. I am sending the car to get you at 7:00 so be ready."

Shannon: "Bossing me around? I suppose I'll let it go this one time. Is there anything special you want me to wear?"

Stefan: "Well, if I had my way you wouldn't be wearing anything but I would not mind seeing you in the cute little green jumper I bought you. I love the way you look in it."

Shannon: "I look fat in it. I don't really think I need to be wearing maternity clothes."

Stefan: "Now now Shannon. You are after all 7 1/2 months. I think you should wear them not because I think you need to but because you will be more comfortable."

Shannon: "Only for you...only for you. I will see you at 7:00."

Shannon smiles as she hangs up the phone. She wonders where Stefan is going to take her. She slowly gets ready as she thinks about how she wants to spend the night welcoming him home. Hopefully she will be able to change what ever Stefan has planned into how she wants to spend their evening together.

Chapter 77

Excitment

Stefan looks down at his watch as he approaches the door to Shannon's penthouse. He is a few minutes early but he can't wait to see her for a minute longer. She opens the door only seconds after he rings it....she must have been waiting by the door.

Stefan: "Hello...you look fabulous as usual."

Shannon: "Flatterly will get you everywhere my dear."

Stefan walks her out of the penthouse and helps her into the waiting limosine. He places a silk scark over her eyes so she won't be able to see where they are going. Shannon goes along with the blindfolding because it exites her to think that he wants to surprise her.

A few minutes later the car pulls into a parking lot. Stefan helps Shannon out and pulls of the scarf to reveal....Luke's.

Stefan: "The place where you walked back into my life sweetheart. This place will always be special to me because of that night."

Shannon: "That is so sweet of you."

Stefan: "Just wait my dear. The evening is young yet and I plan on making some more memories for the two of us."

Luke sees Shannon and Stefan and sits them at "the best table in the joint". Shannon smiles at Luke and thanks him. She gazes at Stefan and thinks to herself on how lucky she is to have him in her life.

The two of them enjoy a wonderful dinner and begin to dance once the music plays. A few dances later Luke walks up onto the stage and gets everyone's attention.

Luke: "Ladies and gentlemen, tonight I ask for your assistance in making this a special night for a young woman."

The crowd begins to talk among themselves.

Luke: "Shannon O'Day, I see you are here and I was hoping that you would come up here and help me out."

Shannon looks over to Stefan and he nods his agreement. Shannon walks up to the stage . Luke explains to her that he wants he to sing a song for the couple. She smiles and asks for the song.

Luke: "Ladies and Gentlemen, Shannon will now sing 'I Could Love You Like That' By All-4-One."

Shannon stands up to the microphone as the music begins to play. She looks at Stephan and smiles at him. He smiles back at her and blows her a kiss.
