Report of Subject Research---Introduction

　　是次參觀的堆填區為大埔船灣堆填區，是早期十二個堆填區的其中一個，直至現在已有七個舊堆填區已完成收復工程，，包括將軍澳堆填區(TKO I/II/III)、船灣堆填區(SW)、晒草灣堆填區(STW)、牛池灣堆填區(NCW)、佐敦谷堆填區(JDN)、馬游塘(西)堆填區[MYT(W)]以及馬游塘(中)堆填區[MYT(C)]，當中船灣堆填區(SW)已開放給公眾使用。而正在進行復修的有小冷水堆填區(SLS)、馬草壟堆填區(MTL)、牛潭尾堆填區(NTM)、醉酒灣堆填區(GDB)，而計劃復修的則有踏石角堆填區(PPV)。

　　At this time, we visit the Shuen Wan Landfill, one of the twelve old landfills. Up to now, there are 7 landfills completed the restoration, they includes Tseung Kwan O Landfill Phase 1, 2, 3(TKO I/II/III), Shuen Wan Landfill(SW), Sai Tso Wan Landfill(STW), Ngau Chi Wan Landfill(NCW), Jordan Valley Landfill(JDN), Ma Yau Tong Central Landfill[MYT(C)] & Ma Yau Tong West Landfill[MYT(W). Shuen Wan Landfill is now opened for the public. Some of the landfills are under restoration, such as Siu Lang Shui Landfill (SLS), Ma Tso Lung Landfill, Ngau Tam Mei Landfill & Gin Drinkers Bay Landfill. Pillar Point Valley(PPV) is under consideration.
