1. 復修過後的堆填區有甚麼用途？How to recover the landfill the completion of poeration stage?
堆填區經過復修後，會建造文娛康樂設施，開放給巿民使用。船灣堆填區是第一個向公眾開放的復修堆填區，擁有一個設有一百四十五條球道的高爾夫球練習場。
After restoration of the landfill, it will open for the public. Shuen Wan Landfill is the first landfill opened to the public. It has 145 lines of golf driving range.
2. 在過去及現在，怎樣去處理產生出來的甲烷？How to deal with the methane gas generated in the past and present?
在過去，燃燒是處理甲烷唯一的辦法。但時至今日，甲烷已經作為某些中電的發電能源。亦作為煤油公司提煉煤氣的燃料。
In the past, only burning is possible to treat with the methane gas. But nowadays, it is a source of generating electricity for the China Light & Power.
3. 怎樣處理廢物污水？怎樣保護堆填區的海岸線，避免受到破壞性的波浪侵襲？How to deal with the waste water problem? How to protect the coastline of landfill from erosive wave?
廢物污水會被運到污水處理廠處理。而為保護堆填區的海岸線，會在堆填區的海岸旁種植樹木，減少土壤的流失；而因為樹木會吸取堆填區泥土的養份，亦同時吸取有害物質，所以於植樹前，泥土中的有害物質會被抽走。
The sewage water will be transported to the sewage treatment plant. In order to protect the coastline, they will plant trees surrounding the coastline. As trees absorb the nutrients from the soil, so before planting, all the toxic substances will be pumped out from the soil.
4. 香港正面臨甚麼廢物處理問題？What is the waste management problem that Hong Kong facing?
香港於近期正面臨堆填區飽和的問題。
Hong Kong is now facing the saturation of the landfills problem recently.
5. 香港能否根治堆填區的飽和問題？Can Hong Kong cope with the saturation of landfills in the future?
香港未能夠完全解決這個問題，是因為香港的人口不斷增加，而且每日製造了大量的垃圾。同時，香港可堆填垃圾的地方不敷應用。但是，這個情況可望解決 ------ 政府可製訂一系列的活動，以提醒人們有關保護環境的意識。
The Problem cannot be solved completly because there are many peoples in Hong Kong and hence, they produce a great amount of waste everyday. There are not enough landfill to treat the amount of waste. However, this bad situation can be relieved. Government should promote a set of activities to educate people so that the mind of environment protection can be raised. In long term, people reduce the production of waste by recycling & reusing.
6. 在個人來說，能幹甚麼去舒緩這個問題？What can be done by individuals to ease the problem?
長遠來說，我們可以循環再用廢物。
We can reduce the production of waste by recycling & reusing.
