GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING MINUTES
For 09 MAY 2003
1. Meeting called to order at 14:03.
2. April minutes were reviewed by the General assembly and accepted.
Treasurer report was provided.

b. Social Committee Report:
CTRC Quick Reported asked the following information to continue in
the minutes:
* The Right Hand Person event at club Meade:
There was a lot of food and everyone who attended had a great time.
Unfortunately attendance was poor.
* 30 May Golf Tournament Fundraiser/Social event: Steve Pitzen reported
that the CPOA golf tournament would have a 1300 shotgun start. There
are 15 teams signed up so far. Cost: $20 (members), $40 (authorized
patrons), $50 (guests). Crystal Quick reported that Megan Anlage will
be coordinating the non-golfing events at a pavilion to include the
B-B-Q. Golfers will join the fun after the tournament for the awards
ceremony.
* June Hail and Farewell: This one will be conducted during the evening
hours so retiree's and family members can attend. No further information
provided. POC is Mark Smith.
* July Family Event: Crystal Quick asked that everyone consider going
to Bush Gardens because of the military specials they are running.
* July/August Social event to welcome the Selectees.
* 5 September Dinning In: POC is Gus Woolheater and Sue Ward
* September Khaki Ball: POC's are Tim Echeverio and Sonny Montgomery.
* October Halloween Party: Researching at this time.
* Nov Hail and Farewell: Late November/early December due to two holiday
weekends in Nov)
* 5 or 12 December Holiday Party: Researching at this time.
c. Sports/MWR Representative Report:
* Khaki team finished 2nd in Basketball. 1st place in points standing
right now.
* Intramural softball ongoing. Khaki team plays Mondays and Wednesdays
...we need players! Contact Jolly Harris if interested.
* Captain's Cup golf, 18 June. 0800 start. 4-person best ball scramble.

* CNSG Holiday Bash golf tournament 11 June. 1130 start. 4-person best
ball scramble. Sign up with Steve Pitzen, 240-373-3038 or e-mail

patrons), $50 (guests).
d. Community Action Report:
* Patti Hinrichs asked by a show of hands how many people would participate
in going to the VA during the workday or after the workday. By show of
hand the majority voted for during the workday.
* Receiving very little support and need more membership
* Tony Joyce and Kim Sauers joined the committee
* Scott Nagle is working the coordination of a VA visit.
* Habitat for the Community .. We need to pick our day.
e. Fundraising Committee Report:
Barb Materna reported the following:
* First Car Wash is scheduled for 30 May
* Confirming for the WHFS Festival on 24 May sent a sign up sheet around
for volunteers. This is in support of the CSC fundraising events.
* Asked if the CPOA wanted to do the cookbook or not. By a show of hands
it was determined to press on. She mentioned we need more recipes and
was looking for approximately 100 total. Send recipes to Bonnie Seevers.
* Next Polish Pottery sale will be in the last week of June
* Coins and Mugs available at the end of the meeting
f. Scholarship Committee Report:
* Interviews were conducted and the board members had a lot of fun.

5. Old Business:
a. Chris Nicosia revisted an idea of the new logo. He had received no
input during the month. He took the logo from the coins and had a
sample created by Ginny Reeb that he presented at the meeting. A motion
was made to allow him to purchase 200 T-shirts with the new logo and
carried.
6. New Business:
a. Alex Rey presented information on autism. He asked for support and
donations for a walk being sponsored by the National Alliance for Autism
Research. Several motions were made. The final motion was made to give
him $500.00 and carried.
7. Good of the Order:
a. Brian Tichenor ask for a reimbursement of $94.00 from the purchase of
two briefcases for the Treasurer and Secretary. Motion was carried.
b. Brian asked for donations for his daughter to participate in the Junior
America Miss Pageant. Motion was made to pass the hat. Total collected
was $110.00
c. Brian Tichenor did an internal review of the funds left from last years
initiation period and stated that approximately $4,000.00 belong to the
initiation committee. A motion was made to separate funds for the
initiation season and place them in their own account. Motion was carried.
