Co requisites: None

The course covers operating system concepts which are necessary for maintaining and using computer systems. Topics include disk, file, and directory structures; installation and setup; resource allocation, optimization, and configuration; system security; and other related topics.
Upon completion, students should be able to install and configure operating systems and optimize performance.
