MOBC Whiteman Cup Final Results.

Racing proceeded on another perfect fine Perth day in the grounds of the Whiteman park. The track had been reassembled with some slight modifications adding additional enjoyment to the race day.

Unfortunately several drivers where absent notably Craig due to work commitments.

As racing progressed throughout the day it was Alan's driving the new Ultra World II fitted with his Picco motor who was the driver to watch as he constantly out classed his nearest competitor. He and the cars set-up where obviously well suited to the modified layout.

The closest driver to Allen was Brian but consistence would prove to be Brian's biggest problem throughout the heats.

Better luck this week for Paul Leckie as his car seem to find some form during the heats. Ken was unable to proceed any further again missing the final. Rumor has it we may see Ken racing a Ultra Worlds soon!

Twenty Minute MAIN FINAL

So as we entered the main final expectation was on the H.N team with three out of the top six drivers that being the Alan, Paul Wyllie and Greg all driving the new Ultra Worlds II. The remaining cars where Mugen, Kyosho, and Thunder Tiger.

As the flag fell Alan was able to take the lead and not give it up, finishing a fantastic days racing in first position, Paul Wyllie came within half a lap at the fifteen minute mark before leaving a permanent mark on a tree, along with half his font end. He watched the rest of the race from the pits.

Greg and Brian battled for second position Greg finally beating Brian at the post.

So another back to back Whiteman Cup win to Alan and a great result for the new Ultra Worlds II with a 1st, 2nd and 4th overall.

The next major race is an inter-club on the 7th of May 2000 hope to see you there.
