The Curzon family have occupied a site at Kedleston in Derbyshire for almost 1000 years. The present Kedleston Hall was built in 1759 as a Temple of the Arts, designed largely by Robert Adam as a complete entity of building, interiors and furnishings. Set in a beautifully landscaped park, Kedleston Hall has been described of the ‘Glory of Derbyshire’.

Kedleston Hall is considered to be one of the finest works of the Scottish architect, Robert Adam. The magnificent ancestral home of the Curzon family, Kedleston is set in landscaped parkland, with lakes, cascades and woodland walks.

There is a superb collection if Indian and Far Eastern objects collected when Lord Curzon was viceroy of India.
Amongst the displays you will find the "Peacock Dress", that was made for Lady Curzon.
