About Me

So, you want to know about me? Well, I was born March 11, 1986 and I live in Las Vegas, NV. This is the best town ever! Well...it's about 10x better than all 20+ places my mother has forced me to move. I moved here with my dad during the summer of '00. I go to Green Valley Highschool. Like my blue hair? It's spiffyking!

Let's get to the good stuff. I must tell the truth and say that I have only been a Fuel fan since I heard their new single, Hemorrage (In My Hands). I fell in love with the song. I hadn't found out about them earlier because all my mother would let me listen to was Backstreet Boys (manipulation is a powerful thing). When I moved here, my dad let me listen to what I wanted, and I chose rock. Well, one day I was listening to the radio and I heard them announce the Fuel/P.O.D concert at the House of Blues on Nov. 18. I knew I had to go. I convinced my parents to let me go, and I had the best time of my life. I got a perfect spot, right up front, by the microphone! I was so fricking happy. Well...It was easy to keep my spot with Full Devil Jacket playing, but when P.O.D came on...that just sucked. Why do people feel they have to surge towards the stage and kill everyone that got there early, just to be up close? I got to hold the main singer's leg, but then it got so crazy that I had to leave. I was really bummed that I didn't get to keep my spot and be right up front when Fuel came on. When they did come on, I was standing on the side, near the bar. I went kinda crazy and started dancing, just having fun (that's what their music does to me). One guy was like, "Hell Yeah!" and started dancing with me. I got all the people in front of me to back off because of my dancing and I was once again right up near the stage. It was the best thing in the world. The concert was so much fun and it was the best day of my life!

That's me, Peaches, and Jamie at the concert.
I gotta re-dye my hair huh?

Why do I like Fuel? Well, when a band's music can give you the chills just listening to it, you know it's amazing. The harmonies are beautiful, and even the songs with only 3 verses repeated are beautiful. The lyrics mean so much in their songs, it's not all just "BLAH" like alot of rock out there. Another reason is that the band members are so cool. I really love the connection they have with their fans, and if I had known that at the concert I would have been waiting out back to meet them (but Peaches was cold...waaa...). They are all so funny, and wonderful performers. My personal favorite is Brett, like so many other fans out there. He's a funny guy, and yes, he is cute. But the main reason I like him is because he has an amazing voice. One as such I have not heard in so long, something today's music needs so badly. And of course everybody and their mothers fall for lead singers...they are the only ones that really get any attention. I never understood the reason some people make webpages just for one member of a band...would the band be any good if only that person was in it? Nooo...That is just one of my pet peeves...

My favorite Fuel songs are Innocent, Hemorrage (In My Hands), Shimmer, Easy, Mary Pretends, and Ozone Baby. I love all their songs, but those are just my personal favorites. I now have 66 Fuel songs on my computer! Yes, Napster is going to kill the music industry...That is why I also own the the albums Sunburn and Something Like Human. I want them to make more music (and eat...)! I have been listening to all 66 songs for the 24/7 since the concert. My favorite thing to do is listen to Innocent and Shimmer in the dark before I go to bed... If you would like the list...just look for quietspyder on Napster, but you have to promise to buy CD's and stuff k?

I love to snowboard, but since I moved to the desert, I guess I will only be doing it on Christmas. Our family goes to Brianhead, UT every Christmas. It was fun in Montana, when my mom would let me go. I am slightly obsessed with anime (Japanese cartoons) and manga (Japanese comics) and I draw in that style all the time. My favorite anime is Sailor Moon, Record of the Lodoss War, and Green River Ran. My favorite manga series is Sailor Moon and Card Captor Sakura. If you want to see my art go to my elfwood site. I have a deep passion for anything artistic, though I do not think that Alexandra Nechita's "art" is art. I doubt very seriously that she can do anything that closely resembles reality. Before the Fuel concert, my friends and I got into a conversation about her art with the owner of the store. It was very interesting... I love to go to the galleries around here. There weren't any in Montana (ack! Don't ever go there!). I love to lose myself in the artwork. Some of my favorite artists are Lassen and Georgia O'Keefe. I love to listen to music, it gives me pictures in my mind, which I try my best to put on paper. I am still developing my talent and I never seem to get the picture out the way I want...it can be so frustrating. Reading is another source that gives me images. I have always had such a vivid imagination, and reading helps satisfy that. I am currently reading The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. If you have never read any of her books, I suggest that you do. Her Vampire Chronicles are the best novels ever. My favorite book is The Queen of the Damned, it is the third book in the Vampire Chronicles.

I absolutely get a kick outta showing teachers that think they know everything that they're wrong. I could tell at the beginning of the year what they were thinking when I walked in. "Oh no, it's another rocker/punk girl with blue hair. She's gonna be a trouble maker and I will see her next year in this same class." And then proving them wrong by easily getting straight A's. I swear people here are so fricking stupid! Ack...I hate highschoolers.

My philosophy is to have fun in life, you only get one. Do what you want, but don't get yourself stuck in jail, wasting away. If you do break a law (let's face it, some laws are ridiculous) don't get caught! Also, be yourself. Why be someone else's b*tch? Try to stand out in a crowd. For me it is the best feeling. You don't have to worry about if you "look cool" because you're not comparing youself to anyone else. You look so much better being confident than being insecure...trust me.
