While at the University of Michigan, I've met Bob and Abe. Abe goes to U of M, too, and Bob goes to U of M Dearborn, which is like the main U of M without the awesome campus or the people or the fun. Still, it turns out that these hardcore movie-making jiggas made a movie in which Abe fights a stop motion scorpion with stop motion kung fu action with the help of the Beastie Boys who are probably rapping while stop motion hiding in the background or something. Oh, and John exists, too. I've never met him, but he did a lot of the movie, so he must be awesome. I'll shut up so you can click the play button and watch the video now. If the video doesn't load, buy a new computer. Or get Quicktime. What I love about this video is that while half of it is pure stop motion bad-assery, the other half is a bunch of credits. Note that these credits include pop icons such as "Tupac", "Wesley Willis", and "Boobs." It's good to see that the creative minds of today are inspired by the gangsta rapping, formulaic mumbling, and nipples of yesterday. If any of you out in Internetland want to drop Bob or Abe a line, feel free to contact them using the information provided below. All email addresses have been spelled out so bad internet spammers do not track them down and fill their mailboxes with a bunch of emails about refinancing mortgages with penis enlargements and weight loss pills. Bob Email: umbob33 at yahoo dot com AIM: umbob33 Abe Email: thurtell at umich dot edu AIM: PetWolverine John Email: beefyt at comcast dot net AIM: i got some fun If you decide to send both Bob and Abe an email, refer to them collectively as "Babe", because that's what you get when you put their names together. They don't really approve of it and I'm pretty sure not many people have done it, but I just think it'd be funny if someone called two guys "Babe." If you combine John's name with Abe's or Bob's, you get "Jabe", "Job", "Bohn", or "Aohn". And none of those names are funny. Sorry, John. Back to the Other Stuff page Back to the Main Page |
