11/03/02 End - Shadow Puppets

	Aloha all, Well all things must come to an end so I must write the following to be removed from this mailinglist. "Nathan, Micheal & Matt, oh why? It's been close to two years since LimeyFest 2000 when man boobs, pubes, chic & pasty rock mounted the stage (or grass of a jail exercise area). My sexual powers of persuasion with regards to my lady friends (or man friends - insert your option here) where getting better and making my friends feeljealous. My family will now find me less enjoyable to talk to - not the hip and/or cool dude that I became from hanging out with the Shadow Puppets Posse. We were all starting to stuff our bras, roll around in the drain of showers (only for the pubes - not for the sexual pleasures that were gained) and stopping ourselves from seeing the sun just so we could all look like at least one of the hip and/or cool Shadow Puppets. The evil devil lyrics, the wailing (and satanic) guitars and the drumming on baby skulls made me feel like my rebelion against the "system" was vaild. We were rogeringly cool but I am now going to leave you to become a office square and waste my life being a corporate wh_ore. No longer can I roger the system with your harsh political stances on stuff. So it is with my deepest regret that I asked to be removed from Shadow Puppets newsletter. 16/02/02 Gig - The Alley

	Nice Wig Ted are no more and the Re-Runs have taken their place. A pretty night with a really great sound. Thanks to sound man Andy and Paddy Chris and Steve.

14/02/02 Gig - The Virginian

	Well we arrived and found that every other band was acoustic. We weren't playing acoustic. It's really odd being in the middle of two acoustic soloists. Anyway - the Virginian was grand.

1/12/01 - 27/12/01 Holidays - Nathan in the USA

	Well, we finally made it - another countries flag. I can officially say that I played the demo to some people (yes they may have been family but that still counts) and the reaction was the usual "you sound like crap". Well, at least now that's internationaly official.

10/11/01 Gig - The Alley (Milton Bowl)

	Helping in the Fight Against Man Boob Hatred (FAMBH), Shadow Puppets played with the amazing Glockenspiel and linking skinny boys, Limeys, Men In Dresses, Puddings Rolled In Pubes and Man Boobs to unite the world against Man Boob Hatred. Free entry.

19/10/01 Gig - The Alley (Milton Bowl)

	Shadow Puppets will be playing with Nice Wig Ted & Seaplane at the polly wolly Alley. $4:00 entry and love in your button.

19/9/01 Gig - The Red Room (University of Qld)

	Shadow Puppets played with Formaldahite in the UQ union band comp (again, we didn't make it through).

14/7/01 Gig - Kedron Park Hotel

	Shadow Puppets played with Midway, Plibian Mass & Stonehenge. Thanks to all who came and thanks to the amazing laser show that magically appeared.

1/7/01 Gig - Route 66 (The Alliance)

	Shadow Puppets 3rd gig in two days - how rock and/or roll is that huh? huh? huh? We played to two people and one of them we knew.

30/6/01 (9:00pm) Gig - Normanby Hotel

	Shadow Puppets 2nd gig for this night was at 9:00pm. Shadow Puppets played with Lewis, Okay 2 Cry & Nice Wig Ted at the amazing Normanby. This was a great gig. Everyone played great sets and had a lot of fun. Thanks to Patrick & Teds for the love that was the Normanby.

30/6/01 (7:00pm) Gig - QRA (The Plough Inn)

	Shadow Puppets 1st gig for the night was at 7:00pm. Shadow Puppets were playing for a chance to go into the Semi-Finals of The Queensland Rock Awards. Unfortunatly the Wallabies vs Lions was on downstairs and we had drunk (yet still very attractive) people trying to pull our leads out and stop us from playing. We sounded like crapp. We didn't go into the Semi-Finals but we had fun. Thanks Mal & Just Us Muzik for all your help.

8/6/01 Recording Mark 2.6 - With Shaun

	Final, final, final mix of Demo mark 2. We now have a CD and we are creating the finished product to give away with the Queensland Rock Awards tickets.

15/5/01 Gig - The Squeeze Bar (Paddo Tavern)

	We played at 10:15pm. Great gig and we had a lot of fun - Thanks Vic. Played with be Hotel44, Chamberland and Katabatica.

26/4/01 Gig - QRA Audition (The Plough Inn)

	Shadow Puppets will play with 8 other bands at The Plough Inn (South Bank) to see if they will make the cut for the 2001 Queensland Rock Awards. As far as we know it is FREE ENTRY. We need all the support we can get. The judging for this gig is on Crowd Participation. This means we need a Participating Crowd. This could be you. If so, join us on the night (we play at 7:45pm) and will be scared rogerless.

8/4/01 Recording Mark 2.5 - with Shaun

	We should finally have our EP ready this time. Nathan is flying back from Sydney that night and will join Matt, Micheal & Shaun for what we all hope is the end of the recording. We will then go into production.

10/3/01 Boom Booms 18th - Boom Boom's House

	JohnJohn "Boom Boom" Dunlop (Shadow Puppets Guitar Technician and moral support to the Stars) is finally legal. Get in soon ladies, this may will be the last time you can have your own Johnny Boom Boom before he is swimming in trollops.

10/3/01 Recording Mark 2.4 - With Shaun

	The attempted final mix down of the new 5 track (isn't that exciting) Demo. We managed to get the 2 new tracks from the desk to the Mac, but due to techincal problems, Matts vocals need to be redone (oh the humanity) : Newby Virtual Glazed Wash Your Sheets Boy You'd Better Not Cry (Extended Version) We have no working title so email us with any suggestions:

	All the vocals are recorded. Huge technical dificulties but you get that. Will be mixing soon.

10/2/01 Recording Mark 2.2 - With Shaun

	We recorded all the instruments and recorded the backup vocals and should be mixing and recording the vocals in the next few weeks.

	We are back in the studio. We recorded Newby and Virtual. It was again recorded by the amazing, the wonderful, the ever sexy .... Shaun.

	We are now members of 4ZzZ (local radio in Brisneyland - 102.2 or visit web site on www.4ZzZfm.org.au). This means that if you're a subscriber, you can now request Glazed, Wash Your Sheets and Boy You'd Better Not Cry.

6/08/00 Recording 1.3 - Remixing With Shaun

	Fixed up the levels on the recording. Re-recorded the Bass and added some effects to vocals. Sounds so much better (and it is now on minidisc).

20/07/00 Fine - From Brisbane City Council

	Got a \\$300 fine from Brisbane City Council for putting posters on BCC property (litter bins in West End).

16/07/00 Gig - Route 66 (Alliance Hotel)

	Played a six song set of Wash Your Sheets, Boy You'd Better Not Cry, Denow, Glazed, Monkey's Gone To Heaven and Virtual Whatever. Played with Fulcrum,the Aampirellas,Vegus and Cocksnot Vaginamite (the No Bodies). Mental note - EVERYONE MUST SEE VEGUS

11/06/00 Gig - Route 66 (Alliance Hotel)

	First full set played. Played with Giants of Science, The Hymies, Last House on the Left and Dollar Bar. Shadow Puppets played The Pixies "Monkeys Gone To Heaven" and released their new song "Virtual Whatever". The gig was a great success. Thanks to the big F*&ki%g bear Davie and John John (only known man to sweat love, not excess bodily fluid)

3/06/00 Recording 1.1 - With Shaun

	This was a huge learning experience. Shaun and Paul were great. We now see how hard it is to record. This will be the practice version of the Shadow Puppets demo. Mastering and vocals will be done on 16/6/00. Rock Rock Chick Chick.

15/04/00 Gig - LimeyFest 2000

	Played at the Boggo Road Jail (Brisbane) with Janet Didit Purple, Shadow Puppets showed great talent for their first gig. Playing a short, four song set, "Wash Your Sheets", "Boy You'd Better Not Cry", "Denow" and "Glazed". Blood, sweat and broken strings, this was a great show.
