Why? How come? (in a random order. More questions will appear here.)

You are what you ask questions on. Your question tells what you are interested in.

-16) Why do we need the natural pronation of the wrist in the service and in the top spin ground strokes?

-15) Why do we need swinging elbows(back to forward) in the service motion?

-14) Why is it safe to hit cross-court (rather than down-the-line)ground strokes?

-13) Why is it the fact that we can not remember every details of how we use

muscles and joints?

-12) Why is it difficult to FEEL that you use the whole body in hitting a tennis ball?

(You are in between two balls in playing tennis. One is a tennis ball and another

is the Earth.)

-11) Why does everybody play differently in tennis?

-10) Why is it important to have as many options as possible in your shot selection?

-9) Why is it said that a bad net player is stronger than a good baseliner?

-8) Why is the single handed backhand more difficult than the double handed one?

-7) Why do people care about the colors of tennis rackets/strings/grips?

-6) Why is it extremely boring to watch Andy Roddick’s match?

-5) What is CONSISTENCY in tennis?

-4) Why is it difficult to “feel” the consistency which should be mostly appreciated?

-3) How do you know your weakness and strong points?

-2) How do you find the weakness and strong points of an opponent?

-1) Why is it the best not to use the arm (use only as bones and joints) at all?

0)      Why is the boundary of the bright side and dark side of the moon tilted, when the moon is no in the full moon? (You see the moon in the tennis courts.)

1)      12 tennis ball problem (A challenging Math logic quiz. Time limit is 1 year.)

(A tennis player needs logical thinking skill.)

2)      Why is it not easy to know your potential in tennis?

3)      Why can’t we see/feel ourselves in hitting balls as much as we see/feel others hitting balls?

4)      Why are there tennis coaches while there are no coaches for walking?

5)      Why is hitting a tennis ball the same as hitting a ball in the baseball game?

6)      Why is there difference in forehand shots and backhand shots?

7)      Why does the sponge ball(Speed ball) give a bigger sweet spot?

8)      Why is the grip(how you grip a racket) decides everything in hitting?

9)      Why do you play tennis?

10)  Why do you want to win a tennis match?

11)  Why do we learn more from lost matches?

12)  Why does anybody play tennis differently?

13)  Why does playing tennis games show your mentality?

14)  Why is it said that playing tennis needs the brain?

15)  Why is the “feeling” a ball is most important in hitting it?

16)  Why is it the best to grip a racket the loosest?

17)  Why is it hard to relax in the pressure situation in a match?

18)  Why are lost matches more important to improve your tennis?

19)  Why is it that the tennis physics/mechanics theory does not help?

20)  Why is it hard to play tie-breakers?

21)  Why can a tennis ball roll on the tennis court?

22)  Why is it important to practice shots under pressure?

23)  Why do we use the tennis strings in a tennis racket?

24)  Why do you usually have the main(longer) strings broken?

25)  Why is a tennis racket(9-12 ounce) heavier than a tennis ball(2 ounce) by a factor 5-6?

26)  Why is it the key for a good shot to plant a back foot solidly on the ground?

27)  Why do people say that you need swing a racket with legs?

28)  Why do you need hit up a tennis ball in service and overhead?

29)  Why can the quality of your second serves show your tennis skill level?

30)  Why is it difficult to realize the (in)consistency of any tennis skill with statistics?

31)  Why can a tennis ball roll on a tennis court? Tennis ball can not roll inside a space shuttle in the orbit.

32)  Why is the maximum speed of the first serve decided only by the height of a player?

(3 mph/(inch difference) for women’s pro tennis players.)

Points to improve for more enjoyment

Any tennis player enjoys more with more skills and hence more options to hit balls. With more options to choose, you can develop mental department of the tennis which gives you more fun.

I’ll post more comments are on team players. Please remember that in tennis, it takes at least a few months to get used to any minor technical changes, only changes in mental department can be instantaneous if a player can recognize/analyze the reality, which may often takes months and years.
