I have decided to move some of my home-brewed wargame rules to this page - mainly to save on bandwidth on my main site (since I'm hosting a lot of pictures there recently). The rule sets presented here are the ones I've written for use with 25mm-30mm miniatures. I have re-edited and converted everything over to PDF format, so they should all look much better now (relatively speaking). ARMs (Version 1.2) (Assault Rules for Miniatures) |

ARMs is a traditional table-top wargame that uses all of the typical polyhedral gaming dice (d4-d20). The combat system uses a combination to-hit and damage roll, so most attacks are resolved with a single die roll. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
SCRAP (Skirmish Combat Rules for almost Any Period) |

SCRAP is another traditional table-top wargame that uses 1d12 and 1d6 for most task resolution. The basics of these rules were written as part of an online competition to fit a complete set of rules into eight pages. Once that was done, I expanded on them and added a few other elements. The combat system for this set of rules also uses a combination to-hit and damage roll, so most attacks are resolved with a single die roll. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
SPACE HIVE | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Space Hive is a "boardgame" style wargame (played on a grid map) that combines elements of Space Hulk, Advanced Space Crusade, and Tyranid Attack. These rules were meant to be more flexible than their originators, allowing players to use a wider variety of models, but still letting them utilize the floor tiles from the original games. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
HEROIC ENDEAVORS | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Heroic Endeavors is a re-work of one of my recent rulesets "Figwars Squared". I wrote HE with the idea of "heroic skirmish" in mind (sort of a cross between table-top skirmish and adventure gaming). The rules are designed to be played with a Game Master, and they combine several elements of some of my previous games with concepts from the latest version of the d20 System. If you're looking for an evening of dungeon crawling, hack-n-slash, or shoot-em-up without having to bother to roll up several characters, you might want to give these rules a try. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
FRACAS d8 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
FRACAS d8 is yet another traditional tabletop wargame. It uses 1d8 for task resolution, and it utilizes a separate attack and damage roll for combat. This ruleset is an amalgamation of several of my other rulesets (a little from column A, a little from column B, you get the idea...).
