How I Made This Glowing Xmas Bulb !!
Have patience....never wrote anything like this....if you have any questions please feel free to ask me...I will help if I can....
JPISME2

First I opened an image 400X600 transparent.
Then I made an ellipse large enough, but left enough room for the top to be placed on later.
Then I used my flood fill and added a background color....

I used...
Red 227 ------Hue 0
Green 187 -----------Sat 106
Blue 187 -----------Light 207
Then I added my tube....(use whichever tube you like)...
I chose this one

and this is what I came up with....

Then Merge Visible....
Next I went to my plug-ins and picked the one called
Crescent Moon.....then I chose the option....Fade Out...
settings......
Red Amount - 212
Green Amount - 121
Blue Amount - 120
Transparency - 0
(Now I don't know if the color of the bulb came out the way it did because of the original color I used in my ellipse or not, but this was the color the filter made it after I used this function. Being such a novice myself, I just played and this is how it turned out, so I really don't know what effects what....just chance.)
Then I copied this into a new image the same size 400X600 so that I could cut the top and not lose my original if I was to mess up, which is common for me...lol.

Then to make the top, I Just used the rounded rectangle and made a rectangle shape size to fit my cut off and then used the circle shape feather of 5 to make a hook area....you can use whatever texture and color for this...and copy and paste it to the working bulb....then added
sparkles etc. on bulb and you have it.....This is what I come up with ~ See below..
Have fun!!!!!
