Mastin Napolitano History:
.
The Mastino Napolitano is native to Italy. The bred heritage can be traced to the roman molossus dogs that Alexander the great brought into Rome around 300 B.C. All existing mastiff in Europe are of great antiquity, possibly tracing their ancestry to the Tibetan mastiff.

Key Characteristics:
.
The powerful, extremely large neapolitan mastiff has a big, broad head; very loose skin forming innumerable dewlaps; thick, pendulous lips; deep set round eyes; and ears that are usually cropped to a triangular shape to stand erect. Its short, thick, shiny coat can be black, gray, tawny, mahogany with brindling and white markings permitted only as a tiny chest star or paws spots.  Reliable and loving, this dog fearlessly attacks only on command.
