Pollution everywhere, destruction of our forests,
Hunger, misery and grief.
Exploited workers, voices that have become silent,
They are the symptoms of today.

Misery is in the headline news,
Bureaucracy destroys us,
And children are taught
The art of war and killing.
Animals disappear.
Fear is commonplace in the streets.

What to live for, what to feel for, what to grow for,

They are the symptom of today.
