Bombers

At first glance, The Bombers aren't a typical disco band. Although on New York's famous West End disco label, the group appear to have a slightly rock-flavoured sound. However further listening will prove The Bombers to be masters of funk. If you don't believe me, listen out for tracks like "Don't stop the music" and "Dance, dance, dance" (from their first album, and both b-sides of 12"). Their special 12" remix of "The Mexican" is really something special (it was mixed by Paul Poulos) and it certainly grows on you. From their first LP are also the bonus funk tracks "Super max" and "Main man".

Their biggest hit was of course from their second album - "(Everybody) get dancing". (The UK edition of this record was a chart hit and the 12" was released on Flamingo records on orange vinyl). Also try "Music fever". This second album was also released as a promotional 2x12" double-pack for disco DJ's only, and was the first double-pack on the West End label.

"Music fever" and "Let's dance" are on UK-only 12".
