Carrie Lucas

Californian disco singer who did much work on the Soul train / SoLAr label, including backing for the Whispers. "I gotta keep dancin'" was her biggest disco hit, released in 1977. From "Street Corner Symphony", listen to the title track - on the 12" version. "Dance with you" and "Danceland" from her next album were two brilliant follow-up disco hits. You'll love the funky bassline in both tracks. "Southern star" from this album is also quite disco styled, featuring Wah-Wah Watson on the guitars.
