Charles Earland
An accomplished pianist and saxophonist, Charles Earland's roots were in the
jazz scene of the 1960's where he played with Herbie
Hancock. Experimenting with jazz-funk in the mid 1970's, tracks like
"Intergalactic love song" hit it big on the underground disco scene.
Soon, Charles had teamed up with Randy Muller of Brass
Construction, who wrote and produced for Charles the classic disco jazz-funk
track "Let the music play". This recording features the vocals of Skyy.
"Drifting" was available as an early 12" single on the Mercury
label. There is no US 12" of "Let the music play".
In the early 1980's, Charles recorded with Cameo.
