The Jacksons
The Jackson 5
left both Jermaine and their name behind when they left Motown. Signing to Epic
in 1976, they revitalised their careers with their US platinum hit "Enjoy
yourself". Oddly, it was the follow up, "Show you the way to go"
(written by Gamble and Huff of the O'Jays)
that hit UK dancefloors and led to their first UK chart-topper. Later disco
releases included "Blame it on the boogie" (a cover of the record by a
white British artist coincidentally called Mick Jackson) and then at the end of
the 1970's, the all-time dancefloor classic "Shake your body (down to the
ground)".
