Ralph McDonald

Percussionist who became internationally famous in 1978 with "Calypso breakdown", which featured in the soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever, although it can only barely be heard in the film.

Amongst disco fans, Ralph had previously become famous with the little-played at release "Calypso breakdown", and also the more funky records "Jam on the groove" and "Path (parts 2+3)" which were all released on 12" on Miami's TK Disco label (the distributors on 12" of the Marlin label).
