Rick Dees and his Cast of Idiots

Memphis DJ Rick Dees is still on the radio. "Disco duck" was a platinum seller in the States (only the second ever) and a number 1 hit. This is also perhaps the most burnt record of the Seventies. The follow up "Dis-gorilla" was a less successful, and continued the same disco-parody theme. Listen for the amazing "Dr. Disco"... (featured in the film "Saturday Night Fever", but not the soundtrack), and also from this album, "Barely White" - a cruel parody of Barry White.

Rick later recorded on the Fantasy (Stax) label and notable releases here include also "Bigfoot" - more of the same.
