Saturday Night Band

Concept band of the excellent Prelude disco label. Jesse Boyce wrote almost all of their hits, sometimes with Moses Dillard. All the songs from either of their albums are great - but especially listen for "Come on dance, dance" with its high pitch wah-wahs; "Touch me on my hot spot"; "Keep those lovers dancing"; "Boogie with me"; and "Let's make it a party". The band used Lorraine Johnson for backing vocals.

The second album was released as a double-pack containing two 12" singles, for disco dj's only. There is also a UK-only 12" of "Come on dance dance" which contains the 7-minute version.

Keep those lovers dancing (Prelude 2x12" PRL 12166, 1979) - contains PRL D 507/8
