Laurel: Get used to Daffy's weirdness--there's undoubtedly more to come. The stuff about Shorty Longsmith the Beetle, who caused the sun to rise five minutes early, is shamelessly copped off Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide stuff, as is her personification of the Applebus itself. Well, the style is, anyway--unless there's a Shorty Longsmith somewhere in the books. I wouldn't know, as I could barely get through the first two books as it is...
