Duke
Duke is a little mutt that we picked up at the pound. We got him when we still lived in Xenia, and while we had Samantha. I am guessing that was 1977. Duke lived for quite a while. Eventually we took him to Scottown and let him live down there. He roamed the hills and liked living on a big farm I think
Tabitha & Sabrina
My two black labs from High School. After my dog Samantha died, we picked out Tabitha, the runt of the litter. That's her in the chair. A few weeks later we picked up her sister, Sabrina, (standing).
Hungry
I saw this coyote along the road in Oregon as we were driving up the ramp to get on the highway. He looked hungry. I should have tossed him my apple muffin. Instead I took his picture.
You're gonna get fed!
Seagulls in California. Or maybe its Florida.
Ostrich
Probably my least favorite animal. I was at this place in Arizona and thought it would be cool to feed the ostriches. I didn't realize there were like 600 of them. I thought it would be cool to put the seed in my hand and have them peck it like a chicken. As they were fitting with each other to get at me, I almost thought better of it. I put the seed in my hand and held it out. One rared his head back and came down on my hand like a cobra! If he had teeth, I would have pulled back a stub!.
Sheep, eh?
These are sheep along the road. Big horn sheep. Maybe its Alberta, but it might be Alaska.
Deer
After I gave up feeding the ostrich, I turned to the more gentle deer.
