Game of the Week

Who lit the fire under the Lions? Was it the trade? All I know is Nations has not lost since the trade that sent McNabb packing, and Antonio Gates to Poulsbo. Another big game from a number of Lions on Sunday. This win clinched a playoff spot for the A. Nations, his first in the history of the Lions. Nations actually had solid scoring in this one as 3 guys hit the 20-point mark. LT got back on track with 21, Antonio Gates threw 21 up on the board, and A.Brooks was good for 20 as well. It will be interesting to see what he does with his 2nd WR spot as Nate Burleson came back to Earth with 2 fantasy. On the other side of the ball, Domanick Davis woke up with 29 for Pardee. A performance he has been waiting for all year. Brian Westbrook also showed a side Pardee would like to see more of as he put 24 up on the board. It all comes down to next week for Pardee, as he needs to beat the Cards.

Never count the Patriots out of a ball game. The huge Monday night propelled the Pats into the 6th playoff spot. Unbeleivable. TC, and the rest of the league thought he had this one after Rudi Johnson put up 35 fantasy on Sunday afternoon in the shootout against the Browns. The Pats have been quiet all year, but once again sneak their way into the playoffs. TC on the other hand is in a battle for the last spot. The two-time defending champ needs a win next week and help to make keep his hopes for 3 straight alive.

This was a case of bad coaching on both ends. No matter the turnout, both teams are not happy with who they played this week. For the Oilers, it was the benching of Joe Horn in favor of Chris Chambers. Horn turned out to put up about 21 fantasy while Chambers went for 12. On the other hand, the Oilers were very dissapointed in Shaun Alexander, who enabled the Cards to stay in this game after only going for 3 fantasy. The Cards were led by the 30 fantasy from Julius Jones on Turkey day. Nice work. Randy Moss made an appearance as well, getting back into the lineup after a few weeks off, and getting back into the end zone.

OK folks. The Redskins are unbelievable! Lookin at Brooks' box score is like looking at a Keno board. 29, 21, 14, 40. Oh. How about Willis McGahee puting 40 and 4 TD's on the board against the Hawks on Sunday? 29 from Mike Vick was oh so nice to combine with it, as those two were enought to beat the Dolphins who are in a bit of a tailspin. Leftwich and McAllister were the two Dolphins in double digits, as both landed 14 fantasy. Phil needs a win next week and needs to get some help or Week 13 will be his last. Brooks on the other hand is just warming up.

Too bad Tawes wasn't getting these types of performances a few weeks ago. Of course Grand ma ma would get in the zone while on the bench. What about Jerry Porter going for 37 on Sunday night in the snowstorm? All for not however as Marvin Harrison caught 3 TDs on Thanksgiving and Chad Johnson had a huge day for the Bengals. The two recievers combined for 55 fantasy to lead the Packers. Rueben Sandwich was solid with 18 Sunday night as well. The Packers clinched the divisional title with the win as both teams prepare for the playoffs.

Love taking the blame for this one. Ya Traut, but your season on the line with Ron Curry. Bottom line is the 49ers have had a terrible 2nd half of the season. This is a tale of two teams in opposite directions as the Cowboys are the 2nd hottest team in the league. Peyton throwing for 6 TD's on Thanksiving day isn' t bad. 35 from him, but the clutch performance came from Santana Moss who put 22 up on Sunday. That was enough to beat up on Traut, who was led by the 20 from Culpepper, and the 16 from Shayne Graham...a kicker!

Willis McGahee - 40 Fantasy
  Saw it live, Unreal Day.
Jerry Porter - 37 Fantasy
Did it in a snowstorm, unreal.
Rudi Johnson - 35 Fantasy
  Chanting like the movie.
Peyton Manning - 35 Fantasy
Did he really throw 6 TD passes?

Nate Burleson - 2 Fantasy
  Nice Nate.
Shaun Alexander - 3 Fantasy
  Thanks to you Holmgren.
Reggie Wayne - 3 Fantasy
  Couldn't even get 1 of the 6?
Marcus Pollard - 0 Fantasy
  See Above

Dan Fouts - 1981

Love the Powder Blues. Dan Fouts did his best Drew Brees of 2004 impersination as the former Duck threw for over 4800 yards and 33 TD's. By the way, that is an average of 26 fantasy a week. Not a bad number. Fouts led them to a win away from going to the SuperBowl that year. Unreal. 10 of those TD's went to Kellen Winslow by the way.
