Game of the Week

Love to put these guys on the spotlight. This was actually a very good game. What are the chances of Brooks actually watching his hometown Redskins on Monday Night Football, and rooting for every Mark Brunell pass to go to Rod Gardner? Wello it happened, and this one turned out to be not as close as once thought. BMEEK goes for 100! As for the guys who played on Sunday, Mike Vick looked bad, only managing 8 fantasy points against a bad Arizona Cardinals team, but thank you to Jamal Lewis who went for 34, and Tiki Barber who went for 23. On the other side of the football, the Colts made a bit of a bounce back from last week, getting only 16 from Priest Holmes, Onterio Smith picked up the slack with 21, and Hines "small hands" Ward went for 15. This was a good game for two non divisional teams.

Is frustration mounting agian in Dondo? After a very controversial #2 pick in Duece McAllister on draft night, the Dolphins came into this league game limping without him. Thomas Jones, who may be the pick of the draft so far, led the Dolphins with 27. Throw in 19 from TO and you would think that would have been enough, but the quarterback position has . The Niners looked good behind the 26 of Randy Moss, and 22 of Jake Plummer.

A big let down for the powerful Lions this week in a key divisional matchup against the Pack. Donovan was the only one to show up, going for 33. Torry Holt was the only other in double figures with 12. Team Nations can't be happy. The Packers showed an offensive side we haven't seen in a while. Daunte Culpepper lead them with 36 and Marvin Harrison chipped in 12. Just enough to win baby, just enough to win.

Not a bad little game from the Cards eh? How good is Brett Favre? Favre paced the Cards with 39, but the real story may be the emergence of Roy Williams who had 28 fantasy. Throw Chris Brown in for another 22 and you see why this was a laugher. Reggie Wayne was the only offensive player in double figures for Pardee. He had 27....what's it like to know that a guy on your bench had 42 (Javon Walker), and you still would have lost if you played him.

Are the Oilers gelling too early? Possibly, but the free ability play a back up RB helped the Oilers again. Aaron Stecker subbing for Duece McAllister had 24 for the Oilers, but that was just the beginning as Shaun Alexander had 25, Aaron Brooks had 24, Tony Gonzalez had 19 and John Carney had 19. The Seahawks were lead by the 20 of Matt Hasslebeck and 15 of Warrick Dunn. The Oilers improve to 3-0 on the season while the Seahawks suffered their first loss.

Who's going 0-3? Uh, nobody? After 2 points from Justin Fargas (yes he does start for a team in this league), on Sunday night, Rose inched ahead by two going into Monday Night. Harlan had 42 fantasy from Peyton Manning, actually, he had 65 of his points come from 3 players (Manning, James, Vanderjagt). Rose had 3 guys in double figures with Trent Green going for 22 and Fred Taylor getting 15. Both of these owners were seen making out with their sisters.

Peyton Manning - 42 Fantasy
Vol had 5 TD's in the 1st half!
Brett Favre - 39 Fantasy
  On his final ride?
Daunte Culpepper - 33 Fantasy
Finally got the start in this league.
Jamal Lewis - 34 Fantasy
  Jailtime soon?

Dominick Rhodes - 0 Fantasy
  Good start.
Kevin Jones - 0 Fantasy
  Good rookie.
Koren Robinson - 1 Fantasy
Kid had more drops than fantasy points.
Peerless Price - 1 Fantasy
Back to Back weeks on this list.

Steve Young - 1998

How about back to back weeks for the lefty? How nice would he have been if he would have come to the NFL out of college? In 1998, Young averaged 260 yards in the air, over 2TD passes a game, just under 30 yards rushing, and a rushing TD every other week...you calculate that out, and we have an average of 26 fantasy points a week. Not a bad day and not a bad number to count on every week.
