  • Donovan McNabb - I'm not riding the wave, instead looking at McNabb going against a Viking defense wich allowed 350 yards to Vinny T last weekend.
  • Clinton Portis - Keep that ball rollin. Westbrook went nuts last weekend against this NYG D.
  • Tom Brady - The All American boy is living the good life. 13 days off and then gets to play the Arizona Cardinals.
  • Priest Holmes -We know he will do his thing, but it helps that he is going against what is apparently a weak Carolina D that gave up a lot to Ahman Green last week.

Already in Week #2 of this season, and we have some great action in the League:

  • El Predikdor is off to a 4-1 Start
  • The message boards are rollin'
  • Week #1 had some nice little injuries
  • The Seahawks are 1-0

Fun with numbers

After a great week last week, anyone want to see some projections? Based on Week 1's performance:

QB Daunte Culpepper 80 TD's
QB Donovan McNabb 64 TD's
QB Tom Brady 48 TD's
QB Vinny Testaverde 5,680 yards
QB Steve McNair 1,168 yards

RB Priest Holmes 48 TD's
RB Quentin Griffin 48 TD's
RB Shaun Alexander 48 TD's (oh wait)
RB Jerome Bettis 48 TD's, 16 yards
RB Curtis Martin 3,136 yards

WR Terrell Owens 48 TD's
WR Charles Rogers 0 catches, 0 yards

TE Antonio Gates 128 catches, 1,968 yards

4-1 (4-1) - Great Start
Friday Night
Mt. Vernon @ Stanwood (+2.5)
Lot of action in Spartan ville. The Spartans come into this weeks game ranked 8th in the state. This is a dangerous game with Kentwood coming to town next week. The Spartans get this one, but it's closer than most expect.
Saturday
Florida (+3) @ Tennessee
Here we go again. What a great game. Sure, it's missing the big names like Manning, Lewis, Weurfel, and Taylor...but make no mistake, this one will be a good one. Tennessee brings in two real young qb's and Florida brings in 2nd year man Chris Leak. Home Field plays a roll, take the Vols minus the points.
Nebraska (-3.5) @ Pittsburgh
This might be the only time you ever catch me putting action on a Nebraska game. After a huge upset last week, there is no way the Cornhuskers lose two in a row. Pitt is down a big without Fitz, but the Huskers are down a bit too. Nebraska doesn't lose two in a row, take the Big Red minus the points.
Minnesota (-4) @ Colorado State
Those of you familiar with El Prediktor know how much I loved the Rams last year, but that was last year. No more Bradlee Van Pelt, so no more love. Man that guy was awesome. The Gophers get zero respect in the NCAA's. If not for a 4th quarter collapse vs. Michigan last fall, they could have run the table in the Big 10. Take the Gophers in Colorado this weekend.
UCLA (pick) @ Washington
Here it? HONK. You bet I'm a Husky honk so get the horn rolling. I definitely think the Dawgs bounce back this week with a huge game against the hated Bruins. I see the Huskies getting back to a running game they had in the 90's. The Bruins are a perfect team to do that against as the OK State Cowboys did two weeks ago, and Illinois even did last week. Take the Dawgs by .5 this week!
