  • Dante Culpepper - Why wouldnt' he be on this list. Maybe he can throw for 6 TD's this week. No way...can he?
  • Jimmy Smith - IF Leftwich is ok, then JS will have a huge day in the shootout against the Colts.
  • Jason Elam - A kicker? You bet. Jason "Miss" Elam "Plus" had a huge day last week and it continues this Monday night.

Commish

3-2 (23-7) - Back to Earth?
Friday Night
Cascade (+9) @ Stanwood
It's the Showdown before the Showdown. This one shouldn't be much of a showdown. Stanwood's biggest threat Friday night is looking ahead to next weeks game @ Snohomish. It's that game that could determine if practice resumes that following Monday. This game however is Senior night for many of the Spartans, and will be an emotional lifting experience. That sounded so stupid. Whatever, take SHS here.
Saturday
Washington State (+8) @ Oregon State
I have no clue why I am taking this game. Should definitely stay away, but I want something to root for when I see the dawgs down 55. WSU is down to starting their freshman quarterback at Resar Stadium this weekend. It will be the Beavers chopping him up like Salsa. Anderson wil throw 3 picks, but 6 FG's will be enough to win. Beaves in this one 18-6
Alabama (+7) @ Tennessee
I can't stand Alabama and Shula! Tennesse returns home after a tough road win at Ole Miss. This is the site of the debacle against Auburn, and Tennesse won't lose back to back jacks at home. This is a big league game against an improved Alabama team. Again a game I picked so I can root for the Orange as I announce my pick of Jannero Pargo, G, Chicago.
Miami (-7.5) @ NC State
You don't bet with your heart. If that was the case I would reverse this one. I'm a huge Wolfpack fan, but Miami is really good. It hurts to say that. This is another night game...what is it about those night games that are scary? I think its the crowd. After watching Miami comeback last week, I'm not sure if they will lose again this year. That is why I go against TA McLendon and take the 'Canes.
Fresno State (+9) @ Boise State
This one goes against my normal bets. It's a league game, the road team is getting more than a TD, and it's at night on ESPN. But that all being said, I'm taking the Broncos on the smurf turf, in front of a national audience. This is their time to shine after a scare last week at Tulsa. Injuries have bitten FSU. Take the Broncos here, and it may be large.
